    Western Canada Event

I sent this out to some folks this morning. We are running out of time to enjoy a track in Alberta! If you ever want to go - get planning now. Everyone should do this except Brad. Instead he should be going on The Hummer Club Event in New Mexico and Moab in September. I's just as cool...

I also saw the MythBusters episode. It was fun! I have no opinion on whether the devices work or they don't work but I do know this. If it works even one time it's more than paid for itself. I think that even someone that doesn't think they work would agree that there's at least a chance...

    Speedcing Tickets

Here's a little irony - I get a royalty from an anti photo radar licence plate cover manufacturer that's located in B.C. They ship worldwide but manufacture the plates in a place that has banned photo radar. I'm pretty sure that they used to have it though. The manufacturer has been very...

    Speedcing Tickets

Quote... I recieved this email a couple hours after receiving a letter from our Government insurance company (ICBC) stating that a ticket I received in April is now cancelled... Huh? You're insurance company cancelled your speeding ticket? Is ICBC so corrupt that it can decide guilt or...

Just installed 2" lowering kit, gotta pull it out, argh

I'm 6'2" and about 190lbs. I installed the 1" kit and am fairly happy with it. The sitting position is excellent - very, very happy. I do notice some flex in the seat rails - but only at the track. The adjustment lever needed to bent to work properly and it's still a fuss to adjust...

    Track Tires and Wheels

You will double (that's a wild ass guess - used just for emphasis - but it's probably about right) your tire life if you add LOT's of negative camber. I know you'll be happy with the result. I think you did pretty good to get 4 days with a street setting. New guys to the track usually don't...

    Track Tires and Wheels

Parts Rack has everything you need - including excellent prices. He can certainly lower your tire replacemnts costs. If you have access to the Grail Trail Herb has a little bit to say about wheel sizes. Check out a thread called 'Wheel Diameter Question'. One more thing. Nothing will...

    First Yellow ACR ??

Nice car! I'd bet you'd get a lot of 'waves' in that car. Of course they'll think they're hailing a taxi, but hey, a wave is a wave. I love the car but that particular color scheme isn't for me. Greg

ACR / ZR1 at Race City

Good Job! Your reputation always increases when you can drive a slow car fast. If you drive a fast car everyone just says "Well jeez, he's driving an ACR - of course he's fast". If you kick their butt's while driving a Miata they have no excuse - your reputation is cemented as "awesome"...

    Western Canada Event

Great News! We have some open track time this coming Sunday. $400 for the whole day, including lunch (likely a sub sandwich lunch) and drinks. We'll run 2 run groups, More Experienced and Less Experienced, so that everyone can fit in. We can even accommodate first timers (they MUST have...

ACR / ZR1 at Race City

It's a roadcourse and it was an open lapping session - enter and exit the track at will. I pulled onto the track not knowing the ZR1 was out there. I glanced the rear view so I could fit myself into existing traffic before turn one... and there it was. Anyway, it's tough to get a fair...

ACR / ZR1 at Race City

Well.... it finally happened - a ZR1 showed up at my local stomping ground. Yesterday was an exotic day that we put on for a local dealer. He's a great guy and we always get a great display of the coolest cars. One of the guys brought his Ferrari F430 but went home at lunch and switched...

OK, I posted this in another forum a few months back. I thought it was funny and is intended as such... don't crucify me if it touches a nerve. It's just for fun! I was asked what kind of track we'd be running on a paticular track day. I replied, "If you have a mullet, a non...

FWIW. I went to the local junk yard and cut some buckles from some dead Chrysler products. I keep them in the console then clip them in when I use the harness at the track. This is a very easy way to kill the seat belt light and tone. Before you head to the junk yard make a dimensional...

It looks like Davenport will be cancelling the rest of their events...... They're just not getting the numbers they need to continue. Too bad. Contact them to make sure though. There are other choices. I recommend Track Techniques. They have a great school (ehem.. I'm chief...

What a great weekend! BTW, my car ran a max of 541hp and 510 torque/ This week I'm putting together a day for Ferrari Maserati of Alberta. I'm sure we'll have a great time but I wonder of they know the trouble that awaits under the hood of the ACR!

I have the Team Tech belts and it's my opinion that they are first class. I've been racing since... ahem... the 70's and have used all sorts of belts. The worst I've used were Sabelt. The Team Tech belts are very well made but they're not perfect. For a racing application they're awesome...
