Agree with Steve, and they have other options other than the style linked above -
Just Ordered McGard Spline Drive Lugs. 1/2 lb per car lighter and better looking than OEM. The other nice thing is the base turns freely so it won't rub against the surface of your wheel. Requires an installation...
The regular Braille batteries are just rebadged Deka I believe, the lithium technology line uses A123 cells which are fairly robust. The lithium technology do have specific charging requirements to watch for and over or under voltage scenarios can cause issues. I can't comment on the reliability...
$175: Panel Kit
And if/when you start cursing the OEM cover, know you have other options. The DSE cover is quick release Phillips instead of Torx and all aluminum and stainless construction plus requires no modification to the car. Getting to the battery is much easier and quicker.
Battery...

Only recently have full carbon wheels been made available for vehicles... and they run 10-15k I believe.

Not full carbon, but carbon barrel...
Any pictures without the tinted lights? I think it is well done but just maybe too much black for me. Everything seems to blend together in the pictures. Then again I've never been a huge fan of tinted headlights / taillights. But maybe give it a while to see how you feel since you can always...
It is just as cold here in Indy but I saw two Vipers on the streets this week, which is pretty rare even in warm weather. People are definitely getting anxious!
Maybe something to do with the model year vs. build year? Do 2010 Vettes work the same way?
To quote the first post (I have seen this elsewhere too):
This from Viper Parts of America.
Okay, here is what we learned: Starting in 2009, CARB/EPA required that the Viper skip shift diagnostic not...
If it is only looking for the electrical model of the solenoid it will likely need to be more than a resistor. It will probably need to be a resistor and capacitor and / or inductor at minimum (assuming it is that smart, LOL).
I may be giving the PCM more credit than it deserves, however...
The solenoid is a passive device. Only two pins. For pre 2008 cars the passive / hardware CAGS eliminator worked without throwing a code.
The question is why do these skip shift eliminators not work on 2009-2010? The system (PCM) is smarter now. The PCM MAY only monitor current and voltage...
I am also suspect of the Speed / RPM qualifier. Either I have overestimated the intelligence of the system or this solution won't work. IMO the ECU needs to see speed/rpm drop to the proper value confirm the skip happened? I was going to look into an intelligent/active solution but there is no...
Great job by SRT, this is the first GenV I've really been excited about. The color and overall idea of the car and performance are awesome. Good to have an "in between" version for those who may not want the all-out ACR. The ACR is going to be even better on the track as will the next ZR1 and...
It seems to me the only real way to conclude this is a fix is to actively test it. Driving styles dictate if skip shift is common or never activated, so repetitive testing under the following conditions would prove / disprove this as a solution.
The skip shift solenoid (1) prevents the...
The entire post, FYI:
As Mark stated, there is little or no perceivable difference in the driving experience between a 2008 and a 2009 Viper. Although the engine software and calibration is different for regulatory reasons and refinement, most customers will never notice a difference.
Some...
There is a thread called 2008 vs 2009 in which the SRT Engineers State:
There was one change in mid-model year 2008 (roughly mid-April 2008) that affected weight. We upgraded to solid halfshafts on the Viper ACR, which were required due to the added grip. For the sake of simplicity at the...
I definitely don't want to impose or force anything on anyone but Ill be working for IMSA during the race - my Viper won't be there as I'm flying in from Indanapolis. If anyone is interested in seeing my quick release battery cover Ill be bringing one to the track, please let me know. See my...
Sure, you can do whatever you like. This is another option that many have opted for. With this solution I believe it's easier to plug the connector in with one hand as it is hard mounted. The battery tender mount is a feature that may not be for everyone simply because many people already have a...
Maybe these have been answered before, but I still have a few questions:
For a Gen IV with stock ride height how will these benefit:
Street Ride Comfort
Track Handling
Is there any guide to adjustment settings for the street and track?
How will the spring rate compare to stock?
Are...
I don't understand how this gets past the RPM check logic. This seems like the same thing as adding the simple load device (instead of a skip shift eliminator you are adding a second solenoid), but maybe I am missing something.
