It was arranged by Bill Pemberton of Woodhouse (who I bought the car from), through his personal introduction of me to the Prefix people. As for the cost, as mentioned previously, I'll post it when the project is finished and the cost finalized.
<<Maybe you can add a red R next to the GTS badge to complete the GTS-R tribute look? It would definitely give the car that last touch.>>
Interesting idea, but the car is a GTS, not the racer. I had thought of having numbers (13 for the year) permanently air brushed under clear on both...
Still being re-assembled, the Stryker badge will be put back on...it goes with the car. Just like the GTS badges, although they would have looked alot better if they were larger imo. They get lost in the scheme of things, and its why I had them painted black
Got this email today from Prefix, in answer to a misc question...thought you may find it of interest:
"The labor involved in disassembly, prep and layout is long and tedious but we can’t give the painters and polishers a good product to work on without it so that’s what we do. Then the...
Hi there...
I will be spending the winter at our place in Palm Beach Gardens, and bringing my Gen V down for the season JAN-JUN. The nearest dealers (drivesrt.com) who service the Gen V, are Arrigo Dodge (WPB) and Napleton Chrysler (Lake Park). Any recommendation as to which one...or even...
<<Any thoughts on powder coating/anodizing the gas cover?>>
I like the original look (can't miss where the gas goes :) )...same reason I didn't have the grille bars painted white.
<<On my computer it looks like the roof etc is in black paint not dark blue like the GTSR>>
Please refer to my...
Mark Trostle's signature in rear hatch and logo's.
Prefix team will sign also, then bury all under clear coat. Interesting comment to me from Dale Markgraf, Prefix program manager << Mark Trostle said last night that he "Loved it, great choice of colors, thinks it looks better than the race...
Interesting Prefix story (not my car) and related Viper video, for those who haven't seen them.

Attached is a pic of the heat resistant red X brace, to match the valve covers. Sorry for the piecemeal, but it's how I recieve them. It's been a rather intensive project, let alone the amount of disassembly and surface preparation, as the past pics show. The paint work is being polished...
Has anyone from the region had the opportunity to take their Viper, to this very expensive and unique clubs road track, as a member...or a guest?

Funny comment...deserves a reply! When I bought my F 360 it took 18 months from waiting list, to spec out and delivery...and they were only building 4000 worldwide at the time, so I'm accustomed to waiting for a special car. The Viper being a new makeover, could be prone to problems and delays...
Be patient guys, it's close. I've been waiting since my initial deposit DEC 2010 :) I've never even seen a GEN V in person, except from afar at the NY auto show.
More pics, out of booth after clear coat, still need to be wet sanded and polished...quarters no cleared yet, as Prefix logo has to go on drivers side first.
No, I thought that would be a bit overboard, as it's really a GTS at heart. The red X brace and black badges are a bit of departure, and are the only 'flourishes', aside from the tributes :-) Wheels are a must...no idea yet, other than black paint.
