Did you regret putting a Paxton on your SRT? Help!
No regrets here either, but be forwarned they are not trouble free. I had an internal oil seal develop a leak on mine after about 2K miles. Others here have experienced similar leaks too. Mike - Yes nothing special about the pump. Just yank your pulley off as the new pump won't have one on it anyway, and also your reservior, and install them on the new pump. Oh ya, the PS Pump is about $330.00 at the dealer. It isn't hard to change if you don't want to have the dealer touch it. You'll have to detention the serpentine from under the car as your Paxton is now in the way. Remove the charge air cooler, the PS hoses, remove the three bolts holding the...- Fast Too

As as much experience I have had with PS Pumps I can about guarantee you it is the PS Pump. The whine get real real noticeable upward of 3K RPM? In my case on pump 1 it didn't matter if turning or not about producing the sound.- Fast Too

Mike, When my first power steering pump (one installed by CAAP) went south it made a whining sound as you described. It never leaked but it failed in totallity when the viper tech was driving the car investigating the sound. Get it replaced soonest. By the way I haven't had anymore PS Pump...- Fast Too

SSG/black stripe in east Texas

2008 w/out mufflers?
Got the same exhaust here, but with Belanger Headers to. WOT is very loud and awesome sounding. Thinking very serious about yanking the RT Cats but don't know if the noise would be bearable after that.- Fast Too

Very smart move on the gauges. I am looking for a good double pod as I want a boost gauge in the car. Something interesting you said though, if your reading dead on with the dyno, then how can the CATs be accounting for a leaner mixture up high? It is a bit rich down low, I agree with that but should be okay if your not going to tune your SS Box. 12:9 though is very lean on a boosted car however.- Fast Too
