    Maybe a complex story or just that a buyer liked the color combo, had the bucks and changed it. Color changes on brand new cars were not unheard of back in the 60s'.

    The SRT 10 Ram quadcab is rated to tow up to, I believe, 7500lbs. Weak point is the tranny. Regular cab is not recommended towing.

    I know where you are at. I sold my one of one mystichrome '04 Saleen Cobra S-281 speedster to get back into a Viper. Family is still undecided about whether to disown me for getting rid of everyone's favorite car I have had. She now resides in the AE Collection in Los Angeles.

    Viper interior comparison

    Gen 2 feels like there is more shoulder room than 3 and 4 but narrower footwells with the pedals offset to the left a bit.

    If I remember: The original V-8 car was white. There were several developmental red cars. The headers showing in the gills were a handbuilt job that were only seen on the original red prototype.

    Reg cab SRT 10 is a not recommended towing. I tried to tow with mine with a 4500lb trailer and it was dangerous at any speed above 45mph. I have towed with my quadcab SRT 10 and any other longbase pickup would probably do better. I tow with an '08 Ford F-350 diesel (twin turbo) Harley Davidson...

    SRT 8 and Ram SRT 10 are weight limited. Certainly don't tow with a regular cab SRT 10 (via experience).
