    Viper Roadster or Viper Coupe

I agree with Sylvan, the RT/10 stopped being a true roadster when it got real windows.

DEALER INVOICE & BASE COST ON NEW VIPERS

No, the Viper Coupe and all SRT 8's are excluded. And the Viper convertible, which only became available last year for employee purchase, should not last long. Atro you should keep to things you know about. Also, the price you indicated is not employee purchase price but is instead called...

    Driving experience with the SRTC?

As JonB mentioned the lighter wheels may make a difference (at least compared to SRT-10's with the older heavier wheels).

Pic of eibach spring beside stock

I agree - the far right one. It has more sidewall buuldge. I would be surprised if it added much in tread width.

Note for ICRUZE users who have iPod Mini's

Re: Note for ICRUZE users who have iPod Mini\'s Gawd, just admitting I cannot get with the new thing. 1500 songs??? I am not sure I know that many, let alone consider them to be my 1500 most favorite songs. Geez, that is over 100 albums.

Sell or keep the VCA raffle car?

Yeh, something like 38%. But add 6% state (at least here :( ), 6% sales and you got 50%. Note also the values for raffles tend to be WAY over valued. That means full list price for everything (car, tires, wheels, suit, lessons, track day support, etc) which I would venture will add up to...

Sell or keep the VCA raffle car?

Not to worry, the fed tax is the brunt of the total. Not too sure of the sales tax impact either since it does not get registered. But fed & state income taxes + sales tax could push it over 50% of a value provided (not just the car but of all of the extras). That will probably push it up to...

    Water/meth Dyno

That is some wild run to run variation. That is runs 1, 9 and 28. How did the other runs fare? 28 runs in one setting is a ton, If that is true I would expect some heat related effects.

    My SRT-C (Coupe) 1st At The Track..and 1st Cop-Stop!?

So what are the stats? I thought the SRT-10 convertible had a 0.40 Cd, which is only marginally higher than the Gen II GTS (obviously roof up). So how much better can the coupe be. I also thought the convertible had positive down force, again with the top up. So does anyone have facts that back...

    Lambo Doors

Yes, but your signature indicates an 85 S10 Blazer. That does provide much confidence over your vehicle decision making. :)

Is the coupe DOA versus the Z06??

Okay, what did I miss in the post? The only thing close to a Gen III owner bashing a Gen I/II was the second where he called the QUESTIONS received about a Gen I stupid. And the poster owns one so how would that be a pre-emptive bash?

Is the coupe DOA versus the Z06??

And piss on the Gen II like you do here on the Gen III? I think not. The Gen III owners are not hell bent on pissing off the Gen II owners like you guys are.

    Have You Noticed

URHISTRY With your 5 post count I find it very difficult that you have been voted in to speak for the entire public. Therefore what you should say is that YOU think the GTS is "the Viper." Unless you have some form of determining the public's opinion (e.g. poll, etc.) then you should not speak...

    Have You Noticed

I agree. The "real" Viper was the RT/10. The GTS is the RT/10 morphed into a coupe and never had the rawness of the Gen I RT/10. I would say the majority of people recognize the RT/10 as a Viper. And a lesser number the GTS. And lesser yet the SRT. No one can mistake the silhouette of the RT/10...

    Careful with the gas cap

To reset the evap system test has to run successfully. That test is not performed continuously, but is performed after a start after a soak period (like over night). In effect a leak detection pump creates a vacuum in the fuel system and measures the rate of decay. So the simple answer is yes a...

How many Vipers do you think have been destroyed...

Okay, I must be missing something. The wheels look like they are at the end of the shock travel in the extended direction (upward in this case). Note the huge gaps at the wheel wells. As far as the lack of damage I have sen 2 that rolled during slow speed manuevers that looked quite a bit like...

How many Vipers do you think have been destroyed...

When a car is upside down and no weight is on the tires the suspension will look similar to if it was upside up with the wheels off the ground (i.e. on a frame hoist). The springs have much more force than the wheel/suspension combo.

    DEFECTIVE REAR AXLE OR GEAR?

This kind of makes you wonder if there should be a safety recall of some sort. I surely do not want a broken differential to send my car into a spin at an inopportune time.

Chick in a Viper Sighting in Scottsdale - rarer than a chick on a Harley

No, not "ajar." It says doors unlocked all the time. Stupid thing. With all the electronics why would it remind me that the doors are unlocked when the windows are wide open?
