For what it is worth, I recently purchased some OEM wheels from Matt sight unseen. They were exactly as described, very prompt shipping, and packed VERY well. Great to deal with!
Well, for me, I always like to have something unique...and the Viper fits the bill. In some ways, we are paying for exclusivity. After all, this is a low volume hand built machine with only a couple thousand per year being built (if that). I can drive around town all day long and not see one...
1) I'd really like to lower my GTS about another inch. I really hope someone has something available for this.
2) Wonder if the brake pads on the Gen V are the same as Gen IV?
Anyone else able to go? Any folks from Wilmington or Fayetteville? Spoke to Jeremy...he's going and we're driving out together Friday AM.
1) Slammed - ?
2) Brian GTS - Traveling Friday.
3) NO HEMI - ?
4) CBR-ACR - Traveling Thrusday.
5) BigBadViper - ?
6) Gutterworks - Traveling Friday.
Okay, I have only driven it about 20 miles. Having had a Gen II, Gen IV, and now the Gen V, there are several things I noticed right away. Some of these probably sound silly, but oh well. :) I'll get more detailed after I drive it a bit more this week.
- It revs much faster than prior...
Sorry, for some reason, we didn't make it back there. Maybe there is something lurking that we're not allowed to see yet.....or maybe we just ran out of time. :)
Yes, I found it....and brought her home! MANY thanks to John Gastman at Roanoke, SRT, and all the great folks at the plant for making this possible. If you haven't yet toured the plant since Gen V production began, keep your eyes peeled for group tours or try to put one together. You will be...
Hey guys....toured the plant yesterday and took some pics to share with you all. Lots of "skittles" going down the line!!! Maybe some of these are some of your cars. :)
With all due respect Bob, not sure this is correct. My #101 was on the line in Trim stage while a customer bought #144 off the showroom floor. I'm pretty sure they were built out of sequence unless my case was extremely special. Odd, I know...but that was my observation.
Mine was in Trim for about 4 weeks, but that is unusual. I have been in Final Inspection for about 10 days. Things seem to be running down the line much smoother based on everyone elses feedback....so my car may not be the best example.
Well, my dealer (John Gastman @ Roanoke) took it upon himself to pass along my frustrations to SRT that I have with my Launch Edition ordered back in October and still not here.....while LE unsold inventory sit everywhere.
If it makes anyone feel better, I am convinced that SRT DOES care and...
Well, I pretty much lost it today with my dealer out of frustration with all this. So much for self control. I'm in the process of canceling actually. It's been a big turn-off and no one is listening. I now wish I hadn't sold my Gen IV.
