    So much better than expected

I've not driven the new GT500 but have had modded Mustangs in the past with comparable power. With the Viper it's nice having enough tire out back to be able to use all this power, where as in my Mustangs 1st gear was only good for a smoke show unless I was at the drag strip.

Is this true or not about the new viper?

I test drove the owners personal LE, it had 340 miles on it. Only went 5 miles up and down a single street and its all I needed to know it was the right car. But I really appreciated that he let me take a short test drive to make that decision.

New Viper with headers and 3" cat back exhaust

That's not much of a peak gain for headers and exhaust work, I wouldn't be happy with that after spending what I suspect those cost. I guess this is where being able to tune the car to those mods would show a much better gain. I'm getting mine dyno'd June 8th, I should have a little over 500...

Have to say the Gen5 has the BEST exhaust sound of all generation Vipers

Allan, is yours a SRT or a GTS? The drone from 2100-2400 is quite loud, much louder than any car I've had in the past. I wonder if the extra sound deadening in the GTS is there just to combat the drone in this range because at all other times the sound is perfect.

    SRT Viper ACR Article

When I picked up my car John @ Roanoke Motor pointed out on the inside of the trunk lid where it's already reinforced and designed for an ACR wing. The wing in those pics doesn't attach in the same place at all. I'd imagine if anyone has seen a real rendering of an ACR it's John.

Gen V impressions after 1,200+ miles

I've been so excited to finally get the car of my dreams I hadn't checked yet! So I just went the garage and yes, my helmet does fit but it touches the ceiling. Bumps would not be plesant like that so I definitely need to remove those peg/stop things to lower the seat an inch. Your mileage may...

    Opinions on red interiors

I love the red interior when it's used throughout, but don't care for it if it's just the seats. The seats are too big of a red item that they need something else red to tie it together. That being said I do like the look of my red seat belts with an otherwise black interior. That's just a...

Gen V impressions after 1,200+ miles

First post! I picked up my Red SRT this past weekend and it's my first Viper. My only comparison is from 11 years ago when my wife rented me an 01 RT/10 for a weekend and it's been too long for a good side to side comparison. But I will say that 36 years old, 6'2", 192 lbs the car fits me...
