Re: The all-new 2013 SRT Viper: redefining the American Supercar... From Dupont Regis
And with the right amount of aftermarket support, the Viper supercar can approach hypercar territory!
This is the only transmission I could find on Xtrac's site that can handle 600 lb-ft of torque.

nvm, this is a mid/rear engine gearbox.
The closest thing for RWD applications...
Wrong part of the anatomy... I meant the glottis. The tube through which snakes breath while they swallow things larger than their heads. The jacob's organ is how snakes smell.
Those who say the new Viper doesn't look "viper-like" must have never seen pictures of a real snake before. IMO the gen V looks more like a snake than any of the previous generations by far. Here's a picture to point out at least 4 serpentine design-cues on the front fascia alone.

Not to mention, SRT already has enough problems finding suppliers to make parts for...
Seems like the guys at Jalopnik were looking at the Viper with a Jeweler's loop on and found some low-key etchings of a couple racetracks in various places around the car. One happens to be Nurburgring and the other is Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca.

I think it's funny people are complaining the Gen V looks like a C-6 Vette. Back when the C-6 came out, you complained it looked too much like a Viper! Besides, you could correctly make visual comparisons between almost any car, espeially among the high potency F/R cars of today. It's not...
I can't remember exactly where this is coming from, I've been reading so many articles lately about the Gen V, but I heard They will offer 2 styles of stripes initially: one for the Gts and another for the base model.
Look at the position of it compared to the shifter. Unless the Driver has to lean forward to shift gears, i don't think OSH access will be a problem. If any of you want to test this theory, I'd be more than willing to take a spin in the passenger seat.
