Another thing: why are all of you comparing one day of running down a track with the best results from multiple years of running down various tracks all over the US in varying conditions, etc?
Not many scientists in these boards, eh?
Why don't you show us the breakdown of costs of developing a certified 750 hp car, amortized over 5 or 6 thousand units? You seem to have this figured out, and obviously know far more than the top engineers at Chrysler who have been doing their jobs for 20+ years. Please show us how it would...
you do realize that the launch edition will be one of the most common color/accessory combo sold, right? The only real special thing is that they're made first and have a few blue touches on the interior.
I'd guess the weight distribution of the McLaren has something to do with its advantage in straight line performance; more weight over the rear tires, especially when mashing on the throttle.
Love the Vette Fanbois in the comments whining and complaining that the Viper is an inferior car.... right after it wiped the smile off the ZR1, MPSC's and all!
You must be half color-blind lol. look at pics of Stryker Red in full sunlight. You'll see highlights of yellow-orange all the way to deep red in the shadowier regions. Looks as if the car' on fire!
What's wrong with a steel frame? Steel has a higher specific strength than aluminum; aluminum only offers weight savings in places where rigidity isn't an issue, and it's only advantage over steel is that it can be formed into thinner shapes. When I see a car advertise its "all-aluminum frame"...
It should be for the Gen V. there's already a duct with a lip on it ready for the hose in the front fender well. The brake ducts are just dumping air into the wheel housing itself without it. surprised they haven't released a hose as a Mopar accessory...
Just seems like the simplest thing one...
If you want better braking performance, you can always get a hose for the front brakes. instead of dumping air into the wheel well, the hose directs air directly into the center of the brakes.
Was watching a video posted by SRT on the Viper facebook page... Said the GTS-R produced about 1500 lbs of downforce, the same amount of downforce Ralph Gilles said the upcoming ACR would have. We may have the ACR right in front of our eyes, gentlemen.
