Rock the wheels to the side to make a little more room for your hand to get in there. There are two posts with the nuts threaded on em. I did NOT have to take the wheels off but I guess it comes down to comfort. Pretty dummy proof.
If you want a workbench stool then you're looking for these: http://www.snakeoylproducts.com/product.php?productid=17342&cat=298&page=1
I have two of them and love em. Very study and high quality. They are 30" tall and you can get them in different logos and colors.
It's your car and your choice, if you think it's worth it/it will make you happy then who cares what anyone else thinks? The miles and mods hurt most sales, so think of a bottom dollar you'd go with and maybe you'll make someone else's Viper dreams come true. Put some feelers out on...
Maybe someone from the Norcal club could help answer your question? I know they are made on request and mine took about 1 month. Def worth the wait...maybe you could order them and just find some nice/unique way of "showing" the person they are on order for them?

Just echoing everything that has already been said, toally normal. Nothing like 5pm traffic in a modded GTS :) Congrats again on the car and I hope you're loving it
Check out some of the sound clips and start to narrow down the "sound" you like. Otherwise, no one can answer your question without more info. Do you want LOUD? Do you want muscle car sound or exotic sound? Is drone going to bother you? Do you have a budget? Have fun shopping around, it's the...
