Gen IV ACR front Spitter removal

Good idea, I would not recommend removing the splitter, the adhesive tape they use is very sticky. I learned the install process after converting my 08 Coupe into an ACR. -David

    NARRA-Savannah, GA pics

I was there as well, just not in the Viper. Neither of the ACRs have roll cages so my wife and I are running fully prepped SRT-4's. Here is a picture of the cars: World Challenge SRT-4 Wife's Archer racing built stage 3 SRT-4: Here are a few videos of our fast laps: David - WC SRT-4 - 1:22...

    What to do in Detriot

I am attending from SE zone, along with another David. Look forward to meeting everyone there. Hopefully I am not too rusty in a Viper as all of my track events lately are piloting a WC SRT-4. -David

Stability Control and my 2009 SRT crash

Have you noticed on the Mercedes that even when the stability control is "off" the system still intervenes if you push the car hard. I never liked that about my E55 AMG. The best stability control system I have used was a Porsche 911, I always felt the system worked but was not overly intrusive...

Stability Control and my 2009 SRT crash

If it's an 09 Viper than it does not have run flats from the factory.... this has been covered many times, the engineers retuned the suspension for the PS2 tires. Only two tires come from the factory on 08/09 Vipers - PS2s and Pilot Sport Cups(PSC)

Stability Control and my 2009 SRT crash

I am surprised the tires would even spin in 2nd gear at 30mph, I previously owned an 07 Z06 and that car would spin the Eagle F1 tires far more than the Viper. I felt the Z06 had more oversteer than the Viper. Also do not trust the Z06 stability to save the car from going sideways. The first...

World Challenge SRT-4 and Viper at Sebring

Yeah, I am getting killed on lap times all the way from turn 13 to 17. I am planning to run full throttle thru Bishop's Bend next time as the car felt planted, but I may need to cautious lift some(~20% off full) before going over the 2nd rumble strip. This was my 1st time driving the car over...

World Challenge SRT-4 and Viper at Sebring

Nice Neon, looks like fun. I wish Dodge still made the Neon SRT-4, although I am sure the caliber makes a fine grocery getter.

World Challenge SRT-4 and Viper at Sebring

Racelogic - PerformanceBox(PBOX) similar to the VBOX. Basically a GPS based DAQ system. I always run a PBOX on track so that I can compare and overlay with other cars. All you need is a 12V power source and the PBOX does the rest. Great little device for $400. -David

World Challenge SRT-4 and Viper at Sebring

That setup is similar to our 05 SRT-4 ACR, car dynos 360 to the wheels and is just too much fun to drive. We also run race fuel on every tank.

World Challenge SRT-4 and Viper at Sebring

One lap in my WC SRT-4 chasing a racing Viper. This was a SAFE Motorsports event and my first time driving the World Challenge car, the Viper owner is a member of this forum and was showing me the ropes. My best time of the day was 2:33. Installing Aero Pkg.

I believe you are fine with the Aero package, but if you add the ACR aero with larger rear wing and dive planes then you need to replace your shocks. I drove my 08 SSG with the ACR aero just to see how it felt on stock suspension before installing the Motons. As speeds increased the back...

Part number for ACR wing adjustment tool?

I know it is a security/tamperproof allen head. You should be able to find a hardware store with a set that includes security allen heads(hole in middle). The set I bought from ACE hardware has the correct bit tip. Sorry don't know the Dodge part number. See...

    New ACR Clutch Problem

Before I traded my C6Z06 for the ACR Viper I used to follow Ranger's procedure to keep my clutch fluid clean. See link:Clutch_Care Basically, involves using the a syringe to remove old fluid from reservoir, fill with new fluid, pump pedal, and repeat. I was always surprised by how quickly...

    New ACR Clutch Problem

I agree it cannot hurt to try pumping the clutch pedal with the cap off in case there is air in the system. I was under the impression the problem started when the headers were installed and got better as the car cooled off. Reference these threads for heat issue related to headers and clutch...

    New ACR Clutch Problem

Since your Belanger headers radiate more heat than stock manifolds I think you are boiling the fluid in your clutch line. You could try wrapping the line or change to a fluid with higher boiling point. I would guess the problem is worse in traffic where air cannot flow over the engine bay. Might...

Any Ssg Acr's Yet - Pics

Correct, I upgraded my 08 Coupe using my 09 Graphite ACR as a template, the only thing different is I choose to use Motons instead of KW shocks. Here is a pic of the car with ACR wheels: -David

    Thanks Mark Jorgenson:) HPT pics

I saw her car at the Sebring NARRA event and the car is amazing, wonderfully crafted. I also agree that Kathy is a talented driver. I had a great time watching her and Greg battle it out in the SRT-4s. -David

A 2:02 sounds like a good time to me. Nothing wrong with being slower than people that have many more years experience on the track, as long as you are having fun. Also those WC Comp Coupes of Jim Stout and Ben Keating are faster than our street based Vipers, even the ACRs. The ACRs compare more...
