Dont think its a Mopar part either. DC Performance has them in stock for $125. Link below.

I found a calculator somewhere on VCAs website a while back, but I dont remember where. The new top end was in the high 170's or low 180's. I got my car up to 170 after the gear swap and it was still pulling before I had to slow down. Its a great upgrade for most Viper owners. My highway mileage...
With no front plate he'd be lucky to get you even at a quarter mile. Lasers dont work so well on sleek cars with no plate and small headlights. Now an H2 or Escalade with a nice shiny chrome grill...thats another story.
The car has most likley has not been driven, at least not recently. Im originally from Illinois and that style plate has not been used since 2000. Agree that the miles are too low, buy it only if you are a collector. Wonder if Dakota is looking for a 97?
Ill go against the grain, its not all that great looking, and Im not just saying that because I cant afford it. Ill be surprised if its around in 10 years, or if anyone even remembers it. Ill take take 3 GTS's over the GT any day, but the S7 is a different story, its just awesome looking.
I couldnt believe that mine was still pulling at 170. If it wasnt for the semi about 3 miles ahead of me I would have been able to top it out. DAMN I love my Viper!
Before anyone gives me crap, this was on a nearly empty strech of desert highway, visibility for miles, and I checked the car...
I should be getting my X50 tomorrow. Im sure its a pretty even match up with the V1. Nice thing about the X50 though, the readout comes in your choice of red of blue LEDs. Never really liked the casing/look of the V1, but agree that the arrows are nice.
Also, most hotels/motels nowadays have security cameras, try to park your ride where it is in view of the cameras. Car cover also a good idea, but of course, remove all valuables from inside.
Congrats on your purchase. Once youre an MD Im sure youll have quite the collection of cars, good...
Great tip! Couldnt you have posted it sooner? I just spent a TON of time getting the bugs off my bumper.
Ive actually heard a lot of people put dryer sheets under thier seats to make the car smell better. Anyone out there try that?
Yep, thats what we were told at Thunder Hill by Skip, 17% of all registered Vipers are totaled. There was quite a bit of clapping afterwards :D . Skip was trying to get the point across that owners who want to push the limits of their cars should attend Viper Days to learn the car. 17% sounds...
DC Performance's bodywork place is Scandanavian Coachcraft. Ole Vanborg is the owner and he used to be the bodyshop manager of Claude Short Dodge. I have had my sidesill repaired and re-painted by them and it came out great.
Congrats on the ride, welcome to Viper Nation! Just be careful until you get used to the car, then youll have fun
Dan, Chris, and Kevin at DC Performance are superbly capable Viper Techs. They are the only people who work on my GTS and my brothers RT/10. They are a little hard to...
Re: The origin of \"Sneaky Pete\"
Thats pretty much what was said in Carney's book. I went through it again cover to cover last night but found no new info on Sneaky Pete. It wasnt a total loss as I learned something new about my GTS...the steering wheel has a magnesium rim to save...
Re: What\'s the difference between 2000 and 2002 differential?
I know its been awhile, but I finally recalculated my mileage. Going from Thunder Hill to Simi Valley, CA:
Distance: 464.8 miles
Time: 6.5 Hrs
Avg Speed: 71.5 mph
MPG: 20.07
So it looks like Im averaging about 2 to 3 mpg less...
Re: The origin of \"Sneaky Pete\"
As entertaining as TKTPLZ's answer was, I will be going through my "Dodge Viper" book again to see if the explanation is there.
InjectTheVenom - The book is titled "Dogde Viper" by Daniel F. Carney. ISBN# 0-7693-0984-1. Published by Motorbooks International...
Splurge on the MGW cap. Yes its a little pricey, but its a masterpiece. That plus my chrome rims made the car look SO much better.

Wow! #3! And here I am all happy about my #190. Thanks a LOT! :p Its so cool that to have all those cars with an owner who will appreciate them. Congrats! :2tu:
The GTS-R is an absolute BEAST! I got to see Greenberg's in action at Thunder Hill 3 weeks ago. Three words... WET YOUR...
I cant imagine that there would be such a disparity in price. Dan is a stand-up guy, and I know DC Performances prices are fair. Maybe there was a mis-communication. Try contacting DC again and Im sure things will get cleared up.
My brother and I have owned 4 Vipers between us, and DC Performance is the ONLY place we will allow to touch our cars. I have gotten to know each and every member of the staff personally over the last two years, they are a class act. You can trust them to take care of you. $2000 for a...
Take it to the nearest Sears Auto Center and get it fixed under warranty! :D Just messing with you Greg, still have your earlier post in my head. Just let us know what city youre in and someone will tell you which dealer in your area is reputable. Thank God I have DC Performance nearby. Dan...
