Thanks for being there to represent some cubic inches. Have fun in the VCA. About two months ago cruising stopped in OH for the year, but there has been a few 60 degree days with clean roads. It was tempting to "sling some cylinders" but I left it inside till Spring...
Enjoy for all of us stuck...
Spend a little more and get the bigger wheels & ABS. They say Sapphire is a low key color, but it gets LOTS of attention ! If you ask viprvenm, he will probably agree.
Re: Re
cobramadness: Almost everyone on this board was in your shoes at some point. When I first "stared thru the glass" at them, I hadn't even heard one idle. You don't get much respect when you roll up in an old 5 series bmw (which I still drive at 241,000 miles).
Goals = Good
My car sitting low is a big reason why I wouldn't want other people to drive my car. Besides the car feels much faster in the passenger seat so that's a good place for others.
Mopar488: I think the SRT-10 is a better "deal" and stock-to-stock the SRT-10 is a better platform, but I personally "like" the Gen II better. I think it has a little more shock value. Let us know what you end up getting (w/ pics).
Actually I'm surprised that about 15 people haven't posted telling you that the Gen II is $5-8K overpriced. I recently got out of a thread where almost everyone told me $58K was robbery for my car and that $50-53K was "market" value.
You post and say you are considering buying a nice Gen II for...
I have never seen anyone alter the exhaust mounts to compensate for drone, although that would help if done properly. I have seen several people eliminate cabin drone and get a much more pleasing exhaust sound over the entire RPM band by installing a Corsa Cat-back system. I love mine, and it...
BlueGTS: I agree with what you said, but I think the original question was trying to as "If someone was looking for a striped car, how much more is it worth to them over a non-striped car?" or something to that effect.
How much "more" were you willing to pay over the "going" non-striped price...
I think a few years ago factory stripes added a full $3K to a used viper. I think that has lost some effect recently, maybe down to the $1-2K range. Although I like some vipers with no stripes, a striped car was the only one I was going to purchase.
Pretty unrelated, but I had a friend in Rome who sent me Ferrari lit/merch printed in Italian, and I sent him Harley lit/merch in English. It was a fun exchange program and before the wide spread use of the world wide web.
Same law in OH, never had one - never will. Let the tickets come. I do get pulled over about once every two years in my daily driver for no front plate. The officers attention is soon diverted to the fact that I don't have a seat belt on so that is always what I get the ticket for. Keeping me...
Metallic Silver is my first thought,
BUT
if you have a cognac interior, would a dark metallic copper/brown/bronze look good ?
The issue with being on the outside of the car is something in the brown/gold family of colors may clash with the silver/chrome wheels. I still think you could pull...
Just the top "brow". Like someone mentioned above, it gives the car an all black look and blends the body lines very nicely, especially on a dark paint color.
Here are some pics of my car tinted. The windows were done before I bought the car. Sometimes I like them that way, and sometimes I don't. The car sure looks meaner with the dark tint, but sometimes I wish people could "see in" easier...

All windows are tinted...
