Moving to CA from NJ and have a trailoring question....

All great advice. One more thing: Since it takes a few days, do cover the car while parked overnight to limit dew exposure and tampering in those hotel lots. Avoid traveling during rainy conditions, as all that oily grungy road spray will get into everything. Safe travels, and welcome to...

    Tire Pressure Pilot Super Sports

29 it is. I got mine at Discount Tire , and they put the higher pressure in them and they felt like the proverbial "dump truck." These are some sticky tires. They really hook. Thanks guys.

    Tire Pressure Pilot Super Sports

I just got a new set of Pilot Super Sports on 19's. I was wondering what pressure those of you that have them are running. 29 has always been magic, but the shop that installed them recommended more. I don't track the car, so I am interested in a street setup.

Lighter and quicker than the current outgoing ACR

Hello bobpantax. Yes, the gt2 has quite a large wing and a decent sized front splitter, but they are no where near the size of the acr's and definitely don't generate anywhere near the downforce of the acr. While the gen v doesn't have a rear wing or splitter exactly, the new fascia has a...

Lighter and quicker than the current outgoing ACR

The zr1 ran nurb in 7:19 and the porsche gt2 rs ran it in 7:18. Both cars do not have crazy wings and don't produce a whole lot of down force, so it's not hard to believe that the new gen v, with the track pack, will be that far off the 7:12 time of the outgoing acr. I guess between 7:14 and 7:16:D

    More mule pictures...

Found these pics on google. Might be of interest. It appears that there is still a great deal of experimentation going on with the ride height and overall wheel fitment, as all these cars seem to be different in spec. Enjoy. http://www.autojunk.nl/2012/08/srt-viper-death-valley

    Window Regulator Shuttles

I just repaired my window regulator shuttle clip by gluing and wire stitching it back together. It looks somewhat inelegant, but its working for now. After some searching I did manage to find these on Ebay, today, 8-22-12. They look t be the identical part, (96-2000 dodge vans) and come as a...

    Two random 2013+ Roadster photoshops

This car is going to be a challenge to "vert up" and have it look right. To me, the more RT/10 cues the better--it especially needs the roll bar a'midships.

    Oil Leak Gremlin!

I had the same leak on my 98 GTS. After chasing it for a while, I took it to Valaya racing for evaluation. They determined that it was the timing cover gasket. I had them replace it, and I haven't had any trouble. Apparently, it is a high pressure/rpm leak. My GTS had about 17k on the...

Help! Idle drops low when stopped, occasionally dies.

This is going to sound odd and possibly unrelated, but how does your temperature gauge behave? I had various idle issues, most notably, idle hang. Tried a lot of the things mentioned above. It wasn't until I replaced the temperature sensor that the Idle hang vanished and hasn't returned...

    Engine Heat Dissipation

Yeah, I guess they would address this issue. It really is amazing how much heat is generated by these V10's. It is definitely the hottest running modern motor I have ever seen, in terms of radiant waste heat. It almost reminds me of my mom's old '58 Lincoln. :lmao:

    Engine Heat Dissipation

Oh, okay, I thought the base model had the pseudo smoothy hood. Got it 'backards.' I'd get the vents for sure.

    Engine Heat Dissipation

So, as I inched along in traffic over the weekend and watched the blurry heat plumes coming out of the hood vents on my GTS, it got me thinking about the Gen V hood designs. After the substantial venting of the Gen IV hoods, howwell will the new hood fair with such diminutive venting? I can...

Vette owners are not a friendly bunch...

Here in Norcal, the Viper is actually very popular (contrary to popular belief) especially in Berkeley! I have experienced plenty of cellphone cams, friendly waves/thumbs up, horn honks, and lots of acknowledgement from Vette owners. I have twice come back, only to find boob prints on the...

Pictures of yellow Viper on Autoblog

Cars with a lot of of curves often look strange in photographs. You have to see them in 3D before you can truly appreciate the subsequent photos, sometimes, because you are familiar with what you are actually looking at, and can really appreciate it. Remember that lighting and angle determine...

    Actually....

While SRT really listened to many in the Viper community when it comes to needed improvements to the breed, I hope that they can find the wallets of a few additional demographics. Truthfully, I haven't run into that many, like none, dissatisfied Viper owners. We are all pretty passionate...

'00 GTS, sometimes revs high at idle. Thoughts?

This may sound weird, but I tried all of the above, and it still came back intermittently. I also had periodic high temperature readings that didn't seem to make sense. Finally the temperature gauge need pegged and forced me to replace the temperature sender. The problem has not resurfaced in...

I'm disappointed in the Gen 5 forum

The car is amazing, I was a bit disappointed in all of the immediate and, quite noisy, criticisms here on the forum, but then I had to remind myself that this country is filled to the brim with whiners and complainers. Why its the American way.... It follows that the ranks of the VCA wouldn't...
