Who is interested in a Gen 2 adjustable coilover set for less than 1400

Man I am really interested in the outcome of this, as the OEM shocks often give me pause, along with the price of Penske, KW, and Moton options. Watching with great interest.

    Death of the Viper

Times have changed. 100 large isn't what it used to be. The biggest challenge that I see for the car is the fact that sports car market has been quite soft for some time, and the Dot-com era that yielded a number of exotics sitting in garages is behind us. This Viper however, is a true "world...

Color Match Front Grill for Gen V

This treatment to me seems a no brainer, when it comes to a true Viper front identity; especially with a fog light ooption. Without those important markers, the front could easily be mistaken for any number of exotic marks. I'm sure SRT is listening......I hope.....

    PATHETIC

I feel a tad frustrated with all of the criticism of the new Viper, but at the same time, there is a good deal of time between now and actual production and refinement of the process. It is important that the car be vetted by the faithful, and unfaithful before it really reaches primetime...

If SRT really listened to what we wanted....

You seem to get it. Very well put. As much as I like the new car, I love my old GTS even more. As soon as I can get together some extra...apparently a whole lot of extra scratch together, I will likely buy one If l like the feel, which is hard to imagine not liking the feel of a more refined...

Welcome the 2013 SRT Viper GTS

On a different note, this car has a very Euro look to it, and at least in pictures; it doesn't look as imposing as our truly American iterations. Quite a few electronics. I wonder what the implications are for us mechanics. As much as I like the car, I keep getting a Jaguar/ Astin...

Welcome the 2013 SRT Viper GTS

They took a work of art (GTS) tweaked it all around and came out with another work of art. Damn good job; and I still love my current GTS. I must have both because the driving experience will be totally different. Awesome! I can also get even more excited at LeMans! woot!

    Gen 2 Coilover

I would definitely be interested in a cheaper and better than OEM street shock that I could set and forget.

Hood gap - I'm so sorry to start this thread

It looks to me that the only area that is out of adjustment, is the left fascia corner. All of your other gaps look good. I would look at the fascia bracket and try to reduce the gap there. It looks sweet otherwise. Gen 2 gaps are a bit of a monkey puzzle, but your's looks like it might be...

    Accident...

Man that is scary. Most importanatly, no one was hurt. Here is a hood on fleabay to give you an idea of potential costs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-2002-Dodge-Viper-RT10-GTS-Coupe-Factory-OEM-Hood-/160434011898?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item255a9cbefa&vxp=mtr#ht_989wt_1165...

Brake light on after winter storage

It sounds to me like you have a small amount of air somewhere in the system. By bleeding the brakes, you will also do a fluid change, so either way you can't go wrong. If you get the indicator after bleeding, then you need to start looking at the mechanicals like your master cylinder and...

If that is it, GTS forever! Not bad though, but, just not BAD enough IMHO.

*FOUND* 2013 SRT Viper Hot Wheel diecast pics! (rear end!)

Not too bad. I think it was wise to revive the Gen 1-2 design. Those designs Made the Viper the Icon that it is. Porsche tried a couple of different takes on what their car should look like , but they soon realized that the Porsche shape, such that it is, was unmistakably a Porsche. They...

97 gts hood won't stay up

I just took a leg off of a spare aluminum camera tripod and it works perfectly; stows under the seat. It takes the strain off of the hood anyway--it might even help avoid cracks. It is also a wind safety.

    new viper hot wheels car

The SRT folks have a real dilemma on their hands as far as I am concerned. I have looked at countless thousands Gen2 Viper images, and much has been done with the intent of Improving upon their looks. All in all, wheels, lowering, and in rare occasions, paint is about all you can do to these...

    RT/10 Stars in Music Video

Here is another one sent to me by my son: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo-KmOd3i7s&feature=player_embedded#! You have to plow through the song to get to the Viper sequences near the end.

    exhaust

I ran a Borla for a few years, added an H-pipe to reduce drone, then went Corsa, and now I am very happy. The Borla has a more V8 sound at certain rpm's with a decidedly muscle car, low frequency rumble. I miss it sometimes. What I don't miss is the brain-case rattling drone in too many gear...

When do you plan on selling your Viper? Or are you keeping it forever.

I will probably pass it along to my son when he gets some more hair on his chest (just turned 21) or when I actually yawn while driving it. Either way I will hopefully, be rowing the t-56 for quite some time yet.

    Drove wife in RT today

My wife likes the Viper and all of the attention it gets. She is not overly fond of hard pulls, though that giddy laugh lets me know that deep down inside she digs the thrill. She knows that every tunnel will be filled with sound because she reaches for something to grab before we...

Why is the viper so much better looking in person?

I know exactly what you mean with regard to GTS pictures. After having spent countless hours admiring my GTS, I think it has to do with your ability to totally see the car. In a photo, you can basically see all of the car at once, shrunk down and presented to you from some photographic...
