    Update: I called Hoosier and they in fact are not supporting a NARRA contingency this year. Disappointing radio silence on the matter from NARRA and no further info on the Pirelli deal. This, along with NARRA's impromptu schedule changes is going to prompt a change in my schedule as well.

    Did they say for sure that Hoosier was not involved. Just because Pirelli is in does not mean Hoosier is out. Last year Michelin support Viper Cup racing while hoosier was still involved with TT and USGT cars.

    It does come factory if you buy a Z07, which is pretty much the same price as a base SRT. Let's not forget, both the Z07 and ZR1 have faster times at Laguna. Not beating the ZR1 is acceptable IMO. Not beating the Z07 is not.

    The Corsa are not good enough for the SRT or GTS either when the ZR1 has sport cups. The ACR, if designed like the Gen IV will probably be fast enough to overcome the mediocre grip of the Corsas and still beat pretty much everything.

    good point, while Corsas are not premier R-compounds, they are certainly better than some run of the mill tires on cars in the laguna lap time range. On a basic set of tires it could have very well been a 1:36 or dare I say a 1:37.

    The crazy thing is that gm and corvette racing had crazy supplier debts. Yet they managed to salvage that relationship. The GTS R's are running Michelin too, so there has to be some relationship there.
