Installers did a good job. Again, thanks for the referral on the authorized Rotary installer and thanks for the nice compliment on the Boss. I really like the lift, I would even say it's one of the best things I've ever bought, other than the Viper of course. Some of my gearhead friends and a...
On mine, the Revolution Lift Installation Instructions (Rev. D 10/14/2004) states on pages 5 and 26 to "use only Dextron III ATF", so I went with that.
Twin, there should be a can of spray paint inside the box with all the fasteners to touch up the scratches. Often, freight terminals handle the cargo somewhat roughly as forklifts will tend to scratch up the metal. As long as nothing is bent, you should be fine. Mine came a little scratched...
Twin, I had a Rotary authorized installer do the install (Thanks Scott! for the referral). The lift was delivered to the warehouse at my work by Roadway Express (Yellow Freight by the way owns Roadway now), then I brought over my car trailer and had it loaded onto my trailer with a forklift by...
Re: Do all ACR\'s come with BBS wheels?
Just checked "Features by year" on the IVR and the color chart does indicate that silver stripes were available for '99-'00, both GTS and ACR. But that one frontal pic on that ad showing the stripes painted through the lower 2" lip leaves me in doubt...
Re: Do all ACR\'s come with BBS wheels?
To answer your original question, yes, the BBS were factory original on the ACRs, all in silver paint, specially made for the Viper ACRs without the rivits along the edges.
Re: Do all ACR\'s come with BBS wheels?
Agree with GoldenVenom. Too many "ACR" things missing. Art, look at the photo of the frontal view. The silver stripes run all the way through the last 2" lip, that's not factory original. Something tells me the front has been repainted, probably they...
Just got off the phone with Donnie to place my order. Gave him my CC#, bill to/ship to address and just waiting for him to fax a work order confirmation back to me. According to Donnie, the deal is ON, and we do have at least 5 people committed.

Scott,
$550 is a very reasonable price for the install. Could you PM me the details of who quoted you? I may choose this instead of doing it myself and hiring a bunch of "day-laborers" to do the heavy lifting. I'd rather have a professional install it for only a few hundred bucks more...
GTS height = 47"
Use this ceiling clearance calculator on their website to find out if you have enough clearance in your garage, keep in mind things that hang down from the ceiling like beams, garage door when the door is up, rails, etc:

Is there anyone other than Dave (snakebitdave) that has installed a lift themself? I was thinkng about installing it myself with a gas (propane) powered forklift and having one other friend or neighbor to help out. I have my own set of tools and I'm basically a DIY'r on anything. Saw Dave's...
I went onto Revolution's website and found the "ceiling calculator" which is most useful in determining the required ceiling clearance.

I'm in. I'll give Donnie at Revolution a call to put my order in. Just a few more people and we'll get the deal. Thanks Jerry for posting the pics and specifications on the lift.

Schulmann,
First, I agree with everyone here, definitely stick with DOT 4. Cars with ABS (’01 and newer Vipers) should only use DOT 4 or DOT 3 at the least. Due to the hydroscopic nature (compressability / sponginess brake feel) of the DOT 5 silicone fluid, it is not intended for use on cars...
If the seller would agree, have it taken to a Viper Tech to have it all checked-out. It could be just "minor" scratches on the facia and sills, but just to be sure nothing else more substantial...
