New to the group...my first Viper!
Interesting. Had a stereo installed resently and the dumbass installer ripped the rubber seal in the passenger door in that same spot as this car. easy to replace? Cost?- Dv8tor

01 GTS back window hinge problem
Well... Dealership recommend a glass pro who looked at it and says he can fix it. I'm going to let him try. Otherwise, a new back window is $1,100.00 + install. That's $,$$$ out of my full exhaust fund because it's not covered under my warranty :-(- Dv8tor

01 GTS back window hinge problem
Hmmm. Talked to several glass specialist and they all say "Go to your dealer". I have an extended warrenty, but not the full, so I don't think it'll be covered. Andrew. The safemotorsports day sounds cool. If I can get the car fixed, maybe I'll check it out. Definately going to the 9.11.05...- Dv8tor

01 GTS back window hinge problem
Took the car to work today and after an hour in the hot Florida sun, I heard my car alarm going off. I ran out ready to through down, but found that the glue let go on the back window hinges for one of the things that holds the back window up. Dealership wants the car for 1-2 days. Painting Stripes
I installed vinyl stripes and loved the way it looked, but wanted to possibly remove them and have stripes painted on instead. A very good local shop said to do it right, he'd have to take the car apart. Quoted me $6,500.00 to do it. Man, these vinyl stripes look great! :-)- Dv8tor

Do you guys pop your hood...
50% of the time when I return home, I open the hood all the way and keep the garage door open for an hour or so. I just love walking in to the garage and seeing that v10.- Dv8tor

Engine Starts then Stalls Immediately
I saw this posted before... Car will start, but fuel cuts off. You must reset the PCM Turn the ignition key from the OFF to ACC position 4 times as follows. OFF-ACC-OFF-ACC-OFF-ACC-OFF-ACC-OFF. Open & close the following in any order so that you hear a single beep. Hood, driver door...- Dv8tor

What type of amplifier is stock 2001?
Don't waste your time with a stock amp. Definately get a better amp if you remotely care about sound quality.- Dv8tor

Re: Jacksonville Dodge, and Stories like these are why I fear taking my car to a dealership. I'm not a motorhead, but do as much as I can myself. I'm new to Vipers, and find the car fairly easy to work on so far. Met Doug Levin and I hope he works out when it comes time for upgrades.- Dv8tor
