    the heat shield is the silver looking thing by the spark plugs. as for number on the box for the "HOOD PAD"here it is #04848024AC I was told there are no more in the system so good luck . if you want one you will have to find one that someone is hording away. and no...mine is not for sale.

    Generations

    That first photo shows why the gen2 looks better than the gen 3 or 4. fine smooth lines of perfection and like a fine wine that only get better with age, next to the rough hard edges of one that is riden hard and put away wet. ;)

    Does anyone with a GTS which they went with an RT-10?

    Since I have both ...this is my opinion. The GTS looks meaner and draws more attention but the RT is much more fun to drive. I would never use the top on the RT because thats what its for...those nice weather days. On a blisering hot day ill take the GTS so i can stay cooler.

    I do not understand why all of you do not do the service yourself. Its not that hard and you can save a lot of money. You should change all the fluids every year and keep it all fresh. If you got money to burn...go have it done.

    Rather that caulking, they make a concrete epoxy. inject that instead. If you choose not to use epoxy. use GE 1 or 2 silicon. its very flexable lasts forever and you cant get it in clear or white. Its the best you can buy.

    what you need along the bottom of that wall on the outside edge is a French Drain. run the pipe away from the house and have it exit in the open where it can drain and get air freely. It will allow the soil to dry out, and save your foundation. check out this DIY.

    I disagree. I think its great and very easy to take care of. greace and oil cleans right up with a paper towel and does not stain.(providing the floor has been waxed) if you do not seal the floor with floor wax it would be bad.
