Buying a GTS, question regarding paying for it

Have you considered the idea that your ex gf, knowing of your interest in Vipers, is setting you up with this old guy? :dunno:How amicalble was your breakup? Sounds very suspicious to me. PAvenom RT/10:nono:

    Hi Everybody..looking for an RT-10

Quadcammer, Good luck in your search. I have a 2000 RT/10 as well and had a specific color combination that I wanted also. Given the relatively higher mileage and the prices for 2000-2002 RT/10's, mid to high 30's, the price asked for is not unreasonable, perhaps a little high. You can...

Some A-HOLE tried to sabotage GA-VCA

I am certainly sorry to hear about what some stupid idiot tried to do to you and your friends' cars. Obviously wrong and if caught should be prosecuted for attempted vandalism. However, IMHO you should refrain from describing the alleged perp as hispanic as it could be construed as ethnic...

Learn to drag race my viper??

Shandon, I would suggest you contact your local drag strip or attend either a Viper Days driving course or an SRT experience, both of which will help with learning to drag race. I attended a Viper event at our local drag strip and there was an instructor who gave the basics on how to stage the...

    '06 w/ very poor performance ... HELP

Tainted gas is a real possibility. It happened to me some years ago, thankfully not in my Viper. Went to fill up my car during bad rain storm and got no further than 100 yds from station when car refused to go. Looked around me and saw 3 other cars at varying distances from station also...

Response from Chrysler Re; Tator's Dodge

As I am sure many VCA members did, I sent an email to Chrysler customer service last week in support of Chuck Tator and Tator's Dodge for his service to the VCA and the Viper community. In their reply, Chrysler thanked me for the information and indicated they appreciate dealership customer...

    Life Expectancy of a Viper???

The mileage of the "average" Viper has nothing to do with longevity or durability of the car. Rather it has to do with the fact that most Viper owners are collectors or weekend enthusiasts who only drive in good weather for 6-9 months of the year. Hence, most of the cars have relatively low...

    Opinions needed!

Buy the one that you like best with regard to color, condition, price. The differences in pistons (forged vs cast) are relatively unimportant unless you plan on going with big forced induction to make extreme power. PAvenom RT/10

If the death of the Viper is true how will it effect GEN I and GEN II owners?

Georgethe dog, I assume you are new to this forum, otherwise you would not take any offense at JonB's post regarding advertising. It is amazing how many readers of this forum continue to ask where to get parts for their cars when JonB's line is "if it fits in or on a Viper" contact PartsRack. I...

Here is a place to talk about the Wizard

Chuck (aka the Viper Wizard), Message sent to Chrysler in support of Tator's Dodge, the oldest continuing Dodge Dealership in the country. We need to celebrate our history not destroy it! PAvenom RT/10;)

    What would you do........

There is a reasonable possibility that the recall in NE was done by Bill Pemberton of Woodhouse Dodge (not too many Viper dealers in NE). Why not give him a call and have him run the VIN and find out its history or lack thereof for maintenance. Also, maybe the owner moved alot.:D PAvenom RT/10

Viper or Z06: Help me decide

I think you have been either misinformed or misread the posts here about Vipers trans, overheating, etc. The only problems encountered with Vipers are self-inflicted due to desire to significantly increase HP. In stock or near stock configuration Vipers are very reliable and well built cars...

    crap (literally) in your engine...mice

I have 2 cats patrolling my garage with my Viper in it and have not had any mouse problems. :) However, a guy i know bought a used Viper and found a nest in the intake box. Hope the filters were in there to keep them from being sucked into the engine. PAvenom RT/10

    Quick Vanity Plate Poll

It's obvious what the answer is as you can see from all the other replies. One would expect a cute 16-17 yr old to be behind the wheel of your Viper which would result in a lot of guys trying to catch up to you to see how cute you really were! Not sure that is the message you want to be sending...

The best cars no one knows about!

Dodge does not need to advertise their limited production line up like Viper and Challenger. They need to advertise the cars that most people need and want to buy. Just look at the what cars are selling and making profits these days. People want fuel efficient, reasonably priced cars that...

NJ VCA - Potential New Events Next Year

Obsidian, Those are some great ideas. As i just switched my regional affiliation from PA/WV to NJ, i am looking forward to participating. Why in the heck do Vipers eats batteries so badly?

JonB is right again (is he ever been known to be wrong?). I left my map light on and because it is a small bulb and not very bright, forgot it and my battery was dead in a couple of days. I am now very aware of the map light and as a result only drive on bright, sunny days!;) Pavenom RT/10
