That wouldn't be in your shop would it? :D
PM me a price for a soft-top and factory windows, toneau cover & sun shade - por favor.
....summer is almost here!
He didn't go over 4k rpm - warranty is still valid - break in proceedure is being followed.
Lancer, at what rpm does the rev limiter kick in on a gen 4 - I can't remember.
I don't have one "good" photo of my garage to show but I went with the Whirlpool "Gladiator" system. It's pretty cool and the options are limitless. The hanging cabinets will hold a ton of weight - they are all steel so spills do not destroy the wood/particle board of normal cabinets.
I...
I can't believe you even attempt your own oil changes :omg:
J/K - I'm with you Ellow! Keep it up - I want to DIY this same thing :eater:
Thanks for blazing the trail:2tu::headbang::drive:
I've got the Mintex from JonB - work great on the street & on the track. They are awesome and a light touch on the pedal is all you need.
Be prepared - they squeal like no tomorrow on the street. Small price to pay for great stopping power IMO.
Torque band moves higher up on the tach with each gen.
Clutch effort gets lighter with each gen.
The higher the gen the less visceral.
I hope the Gen5 does not come with a skirt.
You sound like a Gen 1 kind of guy! Unless the little thing about the windows bothers you.
Now realize...
Stop with the vents already!!!!
Just look for this his car at the VOI. Ask to sit in it - hot box it!!!! With the rear vents plugged that thing will stay in there the entire weekend!!!:headbang:
What am I doing wrong? I still can't hear it. Is it playing???
...hold on...let me turn of my engine....
Just playing! Looks good & you still have a trunk. Might want to change your rear springs to offset all that MDF in the trunk now. Relatively cheap and will restore you handeling -...
You Canadians and your diesels....AWESOME!!!!!
All the great Detroit motors live above the 45th parallel:
Ford 300 straight 6 (in any fuel you desire)
Detroit Diesel 6.2L/6.5L
Ford 7.3L
Cummins 5.9L
I find it common for a Canadian to have a few Ford 7.3L and 6.5L parts laying around...
It sounds like you are getting some sort of feedback into your marker lamp ckt. Try placing 2 diodes from the marker lamp wire to flasher lamp wire at each light.
Marker wire I< (diode) to >I (diode) Flasher Wire
Try on one side see if it works - side with diode: put blinker on that...
Yep - gotta short a wire to ground that's hanging above the pedals. Just watched my dealer do this a couple of months ago. DIY and save the hourly labor charges and 1-2 hours spent in the dealership while they figure out how to do it/find the old salty guy that remembers how to do it...
Man... I would almost buy another Gen1 right now just for a parts car. Price out a hood, then the engine...you'll see what I mean.
If you can get an 8k mi Gen1 for $25k (or less) jump on it...before I do!
Take it to any store that cuts keys and have them pass it across the deburring wheel a few more times. The key is literally too new. The lock cylinders are worn as well as the key that came with the car. Drag the key across to corner of a brick, sand paper something - or just make several...
The Gen1 with the clean sweeping lines are very modern looking still. The vents on the Gen2 date the car a bit. Most folks are more curious about the Gen1 than the ACR. Although the ACR gets more camera phone action at the gas stations and on the hwy than the RT....or the RT is just so fast I...
1. I'm 5'11" and my head touches my Jeff Lemke top. The Gen2 top accommodated much taller folks - they do make 1 & 2 inch seat lowering kits.
2. Traction control - nope. As for hard to control: It's harder to control than a Vette. I'd me more concerned about the brakes & crappy original...
Got mine - Thx JonB!!!!
These things are secondary weapons - they must weight a pound between the 2. Love it!
I really like the look - much more Gen1'ish then the red Gen2 Keys IMO.
