not to sound repetitive.... but the brakes! night and day. I don't see the need to upgrade them on the SRT unless you are doing some serious trackking in a heavili modded car.
Only drawback is the suspension, I find it too soft for track (even though I have yet to track my SRT) but since I use...
I forgot to mention up there that of course I was shifting at redline...
Anyway. Yes, the Hurst is great! not easy to install, since you need to drill out the rivets that hold the stock tranny-tunnel boot, and you need to drill the tranny tunnel to reach the bolts.
But definitely worth...
-O2 Sims will deal with check engine light. they are $100 and a breeze to install
-You have two options to quiet exhaust sound:
#1 Cats (highly restrictive)
#2 Mufflers (very low restriction)
Your pick...
And some advice, do not but into the "high-flow" cat [******]... there is only...
I almost did the same thing....
I get home from the dealer and take the GF for a ride. Shifting from 2-3 with that HORRIBLE shifter I ended up shifting 2-1st!!!
I had the median wall on my left, traffic on the right... Car was fishtailing like crazy, after the 3rd or 4th swing I completely...
Agree!!!
Those of you recommending wax, buff, etc.... Have never been egged!! (LUCKY)
Eggs seriously damage the paint, no waxing will fix it.
Like I said up there, try wet-sanding first... if it does not come out, you will need to get the area/car repainted.
Sorry.
Few of us here understand that (quoting ullose)"It is a saturday well spent." when you work on your car.
It is fun, relaxing, gets my mind away from the office... I like it! cheap therapy for a stressed businessman.
We are beating a dead horse here trying to explain this point.
Warfang, with...
Been there Phil...
I had one egg on a C pillar of a Mark VII Lincoln I had when I was 16!!
I was no lucky because the damage was all the way through the clearcoat, and the paint itself was cracked in 100 tiny concentric lines...
Maybe now 16 years later paints are better, but to make a long...
Not enough to walk around in a wizard costume... ;)
Another thing...
Maybe getting this Viper was your dream car that you've worked all life for, but the reality is it is a VERY SIMPLE and plain car... don't get me wrong, I love it and own one.
But buying into all this hype and...
Obviously.... wrong. Why on earth would anyone hang around here if you don't own one?? lol.. you saying that makes me think you did!
I trust my mechanic, he's worked on at least 5 different cars... There is a gray line between Dodge dealer and Ghetto mechanic....
In fact, someone in this same...
Zen, you have a store I can get this from? Can you quote me some just like voltage??
not in a million years I thought I'd get those, but they look gorgeous!
Jesus, no need for a "Vipertech" to replace a clutch!!
Some of you guys even go to the dealer for carwashes... I understand going for a problem or part unique to the Viper... But a clutch change on a T56 tranny is a standard procedure, any moron mechanic can do it for 1/10th dealer cost.
looks like gear oil to me... check the diff assy, especially the yoke's seal. that is the only place that it can leak and distribute evenly down the shafts.
or worse case scenario, you have a cracked diff case.
get back to us and let us know, good luck!!
