A DIY is the keyword. Eveybody knows to run a DYI s/c is ignorant without a proper knowledgeable mechanic set up to do a proper tune. Maybe the stock motor Paxton undergroundracing 9 second GTS will be there. I heard someone in Tampa just bought it so that is close to Bradenton.
As...
There are plenty of Roe cars doing VERY well at the V-10 Nationals. Take a look at the cars Larry Macedo is producing, as well as Tony Armour's car. They may not be the hp kings, but their times are very respectable. Especially for the money they have invested.
Trust me the Macedo Roe...

[but I've never seen a centrifugal type blower do well with autocross or road racing events.]
I won't argue with that. Drag racing or street racing though. Forget about a screw type.
Very well said. Thank you.
Quote[But I still feel that to evenly compare the 2 you should have 2 running the same psi.]
Thats the whole point! You can't! Because the screw type can't produce enough safe boost to = the centrifugal. Has anybody here ever been to a Super Ford event...

Bottom line on the Viper though I would buy heads/cam before a screw type blower. Same power and its always dependable power and much smoother...
In my opinion it depends on the car. A roots/screw type is not used by the really fast cars. All fast Mustangs(8-10 sec. cars) for example use centrifugal Vortech, Paxton, or Procharger mostly. On the street the roots/screw type create more heat soak and wheelspin down low. The centrifugal...
Elizabeth,
Thanks for clearing that up. I know you didn't do it intentionally. I figured you just didn't know/remember her name. The main reason I left when the awards were being given out was because the pit area was quickly being invaded by the local drag cars and jr. dragsters. I...
Not sure if anybody will agree but It looked like a slow E.T. day. I saw alot of Vipers running 13's. I know my car sure ran slower than expected. Not sure if it was the heat or what.
I had fun though.
If you are not a VCA member isn't it correct that you cannot run in this event anyway?
BTW Gary. Barb left me a message today and told me that you approved what I had asked her to ask you about. Thank You.
Tony,
My wife and I live in Jacksonville,Florida. I am a Sergeant with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Not sure what help we can be considering I'm still waiting on my electricity to come back on. I do have a small Honda super quiet generator to run the basics. If she needs anything...
Re: Florida Roll Call Report In
I made it. 11 trashbags of debris and a big pile of tree limbs later. Haven't had power or cable for 4 days now(still waiting). Electric company say's it could be another 5 days. But my Honda is running just fine and making it bearable. Cold showers suck though...
Re: Need other NOS/Propane users RWHP/RWTQ #\'s
Tom,
Do you have any ideas or thoughts for my system? We are going to try another NOS solenoid for the kit to fill the 4th port on each NX nozzle.
Re: Need other NOS/Propane users RWHP/RWTQ #\'s
Dr. Roof:
I've called BTR in the past. The last two times I called I only was able to talk to the vette guy and no return calls from Tom. I've got all my answers(pos./neg.) anyway from other reliable sources on the problems.
Jay:
What's up? Yea...
Re: Need other NOS/Propane users RWHP/RWTQ #\'s
Redenuff 93:
Your #'s look good.
Catwood:
Your #'s are close to mine. Do you have heads/cam, exhaust,etc...like I do?
Jack B:
Your right it should be 115rwhp not 116rwhp. 656-541=115! My motor isn't stock putting out 541/590 at the wheels. Your...
Need other NOS/Propane users RWHP/RWTQ #\'s
I only gained 116rwhp and 214rwtq with a BTR NOS/PROPANE/GAS kit. Before the added expense of the gas to the kit I had gained 109rwhp/214rwtq. So the addition of gas only gave me 7rwhp. FAR from what is advertised.
What are some dyno #'s out there...
Have you dynoed your setup yet?
Hey VIPER D:
What were your RWHP/RWTQ #'s again on your NOS/Propane setup? What mods do you have on your car? What was your air/fuel ratio?
Re: Why doesn\'t everyone have a SC I don\'t think it\'s the money?
I don't have one because I took mine of due to Heat Soak. It felt good the first couple of times I punched it during each drive but then it would slow down alot. Then add the Florida heat.
I put heads/cam/rockers and produced...
Hey everybody needs to leave Larry alone so he can get my NOS system finished. Those pictures can wait. I'm ready to drive a 2 seater again.
BTW Larry! I couldn't resist. I got a Scion XB too.
