Which year cars are we talking about, GenII, III, IV vipers. What year Z06. Newer Vipers are more comfortable than GenIIs, and a vette is a much better daily driver all around, the newer ones are fast! The vette won't get any attention in a parking lot, which is better for daily driving.
I noticed the news paper on the floor. Spray bottle is a good idea, I keep running out to the store to buy more stuff after reading everyones ideas. Thanks again!
thanks, do you think I could use simple green on the shocks, wheel wells?
I am at 47K miles so it is fairly dirty!
in 2 weeks my wife goes out of town with our girls for 3 days, you have inspired me. I may even take off from work...lol
Until I have proof that this car has actually been driven I can not comment on your detailing abilities:rolaugh::2tu::headbang:
how did you get the shocks so clean?
car looks so sweet, 547s are 2nd place for me though. I like the 7 spoke ones I think they are 591Rs. they basically look the same. your pics have inspired me to detail the car this weekend!
we need to get them side by side!:drive:
when edmunds did there comparison, the Z06 ran a 12.0 1/4 mile & viper ran a 11.8. some would say those are bad times for both but that is what the conditions warranted (driver, temp, altitude), they said the Viper felt much stronger and faster. Still...
Jersey isn't that far away. I grew up in North Jers and went to school at Hofstra, should not take more than an hour. Maybe tow it out there, traffic is no fun!
car looks awesome, clean install...and my engine bay is very dirty then!!!
PS...while I dont like genIIIs much, I think you ride is one of the best looking vipers out there. love the copperhead/rim combo. sweet deal!
stock geared 96 gts...from chicago to phoenix I averaged 25 or so mpg, maybe a little more. except in nem mexico I drove 100mph for 30 minutes straight.
98+ have larger fans, I was told by a tech and Jon B that it would be needed to the most out of the radiator. Kind of like adding a s/c and not getting a tune
if you get a aluminum radiator, get the lower Tstat, and for a 97gts you will need a new fan kit. I have the Ron davis and upgraded fan. I run at 190* all day long
the hardest thing is the launch, my first time at the track I ran a 12.5 @ 117, but my 60' was a bad 2.2. if you get the launch down you will have great times. with a genIII you should be able to shift a little higher in 2nd and 3rd around 5500rpms i would think. make the 3-4 shift as fast as...
Fat albert is selling one of his motors, it will cost you close to $20K but the thing is rock solid and will put over 600 to the wheels. I amy do this down the road, If you need more than throw a S/C on top. Call him and he will gove you the specs...the engine is well built and can handle more...
I would say to see them on the road is rare for the following
1. many have been wrecked
2. many are stored away
3. the low production numbers of a viper in general
ever since the came out I wanted one. my senior year of high school (1996) I was working at a gas station part-time. I guy rolls in in a 96 GTS...straight up crapped my pants. Being a complete dummy I say how does it compare to a mustang cobra or a vette...the response was something like...
the bubble itself is nothing to worry about, that is the rubber compound pulling away from the Plys underneath. the ruuber on the sidewalls is made to protect the sidewalls from being tore (the underneath plys of material) the rubber sidewall actually has no function other than look and your...
