Fidanza Flywheels, you gotta read this!

We use both as well and haven't seen any 'blems' from either of the companies. Hmmm....sounds like a vendor trying to justify a $900 price tag!

    RWHP Conversion to Flywheel HP?

We dyno a LOT of cars here, and we typically see right around a 15% driveline loss on stock cars w/ manual transmissions, assuming they're actually making the flywheel hp that the manufacturers claim. While it's impossible to say "This car makes XXXhp at the rear wheels, so it definitively makes...

    NPG+ Coolant ????

Sean's right--the stuff works, but it's really hard to get all the water out of the system, as NPG isn't compatible with water or traditional anti-freeze. We've run it on a few race cars with brand new engines and cooling systems, and it works great in those cases. On a street car, if you blow...

    H pipe installation

I think my biggest question is....what did it do to the sound? Did it make it any better?

    Just installed Corsa 3" exhaust.

Re: Just installed Corsa 3\" exhaust. Of all the exhaust systems we've installed, the Corsa 3" is absolutely the best sounding. That's why we use it and sell it! (Oh, and the superior construction, fit, and finish as well!) If you don't like the sound of the Corsa, thank your lucky stars you...

Anyone interested in some Magnacor wires

    Ti Alloy Roll Bar/Cage??

Yeah, if you're racing with a sanctioning body (NHRA, SCCA), you obviously have to read their rules regarding roll bars and conform to them. If you're wanting a cage that's more than sufficient for open tracking, then what I described is fine. Getting away from thick, large diameter tubing...

    Ti Alloy Roll Bar/Cage??

Titanium needs to be welded in an oxygen-free environment, making something as large as a roll bar/cage pretty impractical to build. There are certainly easier and cheaper ways to build a good roll cage. Using smaller diamter (1 3/4"), thinner wall (.095") tubing is usually all that's...

Re: LETHAL 650 will be at Nor Cal dinner at Mama Mia\'s this Tuesday You guys are going to be amazed at how well our LETHAL 650 package starts, runs, and drives! No stumbling when cold, no jerkiness off-idle. Just smooth, even power and torque delivery. It's virtually like stock, except when...

    Dyno question? Experts please respond.

I'd have to see the dyno sheet and air/fuel ratio. My guess is that after the battery was disconnected, the car was running leaner than before. Leaner (to a point) = more power.

LETHAL 650 will be at Nor Cal dinner at Mama Mia's this Tuesday

Re: LETHAL 650 will be at Nor Cal dinner at Mama Mia\'s this Tuesday I think you guys are going to be amazed at all the trick things Wayne did to his engine compartment. It's the best looking Viper engine I've seen! And remember, we can customize YOUR Viper's compartment as well! See you at...

    EBC Greenstuff

When installing the Greens, did you guys make sure to resurface the rotors? That's the only caveat when installing EBC pads. Other than that, they shouldn't squeek. We've never had squeeking problems with the Greens.
  14. B

    EBC Greenstuff

It's imperative to resurface the rotors to remove any residue left behind by the previous pads. EBC strictly states that their pad material is not compatible with others, so resurfacing is necessary if a different brand brake pad has been used on the rotor. Your retailer should have told you...

    Superchip- your experience!!

Yep, that's why we custom-burn chips for our Mustang customers on our dyno. Unless you can mail your car to Superchips for dyno tuning, forget it. Even if you could, it'd be questionable. We're going to be working on a system for our local customers, mostly to control the overly-rich condition...

Wanted Headers for the 4.7 V8 in the Jeep?

Fred, I checked all my suppliers and others (Bassani, Edelbrock, JBA, Gibson, and Thorley), and I come up with a big goose egg. Bummer. I'll actually be in the market soon for an SUV. Are you going to trade in your car or sell it outright? I might be interested...

Hey, Leonard! Wayne (LTHL VPR) and I will be there from Wednesday morning until Saturday. We'll be staying at the Hard Rock, and Wayne's trying to organize a get-together at the Pink Taco (snicker snicker!) restaurant inside the Hard Rock. Wayne's calling his host at the HR today, so we'll...

    SEMA Show

Scott, it depends if you like Jack & Coke or not. Ha! We'll most likely be going to Studio 54 or some raucous place like that after hours. Anyone for dinner at PF Changs on Wednesday? Mmmmmmmm.... Remember, we'll be at the Hard Rock Hotel, reservation is under Bill Kaiser, if anyone wants to...

    SEMA Show

I don't know how they qualify you as actually being in the automotive field, but I don't know why you couldn't just sign up and say you were with "Power Performance Parts and Toilet Brushes" or something like that. You might want to call or e-mail the SEMA Show people at [email protected] or...

Do all gas cap covers have this?

Merci, monsieur! Coming from a land of Citroens and Peugeots, it must be a rare treat for the taxi driver to get a picture of a Viper, much less get a ride in one one hopeful day! Do you know how many Vipers there are in France, Luc?

My first round of big mods, results and opinions!

Chad, put some more miles on the car, then bring it back for a re-dyno. You'll most likely have found some additional ponies. Glad you like the flywheel and our clutch! We knew you would! When are you going to be at Thunderhill?

Have any UK members raced a TVR?

We had a TVR Cerbera in the shop last week to troubleshoot a running/idling problem. (Turned out to be a bad throttle position sensor.) Neat car, but I wondered how he got it here into the states. It was right hand drive, and I don't know if it was emissions-compliant. Grey market?
