hey Paolo, what's the story with Alcalde? i e-m'd them yesterday about repainting my bike and so far have not heard back from anyone. it seems as though you know him.
there's also a place called "The Last Detail" up around North Chicago. it's on Rte.41 @ Rte.120. i brought a car of mine there for bodywork and they did a great job.
this is turning into a forum discussed at length last year. in illinois at least, a cop can say you were doing ANY speed and not have to back it up with any radar reading or anything. it happened to a friend of mine and when i asked some cop friends of mine, they told me that it's the cop's word...
Re: Has anyone found any
when i bought my GTS, i discovered someone left a Creed cd in the player. when i bought my Jeep Wrangler, i found an Allman Brothers cd in the player, a little nylon zipper bag with a Nintendo game, a Dallas Cowboys souveneir, and a condom inside.
now that i post this, i'll hex myself. i don't think all cops target high profile cars. i was crusing on the highway a couple weekends ago - doing a bout 95 with a Honda - no racing, just cruising around, when we fly by a trooper pulled off to the side. i never hit my brakes in these cases...
i know, i figured 65 would bring me to an even 500 which would keep me happy for a while.
scotty TOOFST, i'll probably swing by your shop sometime soon to discuss this at length with you. Thanks for organizing the event Saturday.
brought my car in yesterday afternoon for some final check-ups before heading down to Dyno Day tomorrow and Tom made sure everything was completed and ready to go. i recommend Tom and Finish Line Dodge for anyone looking for a qualified and competent Viper serviceman / dealership on the north...
it's not as much of a drawback as it is an annoyance: with headers, chances are your O2 sensor will trigger your dash (check engine)light to go on. what bothers me about this is that unless i have it constantly reset, i never know if the light is illuminated because of the header/O2 situation or...
need advice on \"controlled shifting\"
it could be that i'm just not practiced enough, but what is the best advice on not losing the rear end when slamming into 2nd gear(or 3rd for that matter)? i'd like to head to Route 66 drags next month, but not if i can't control my car.
i've had a number of people ask me what kind of car it is, and when i tell them it's a Dodge Viper, they say, surprisingly enough, that they've never heard of it!
i have a bra from Speed Lingerie. i had it on last summer and have no complaints. it fits perfect and caused no problems. i can't speak of the quality of the mopar bra, though. sorry. my only advice is to have a friend help you put it on because stretching that thing is a b**ch.
i got my autovation pedals yesterday and had them installed in 30 minutes. they look awesome. my advice to everyone is: get them. you'll thank me later. beers will do.
not that i'm biased or anything, but i just got my autoform pedals today and i must say they look much more "american" than those. but, that's just me. to each his own.
i heard a lot of Vipers at VOI7 with the muffler delete and they sounded incredible. my question is, has anyone who 86'd their mufflers had problems with the police writing them up?
