Have you used the clutch adapter with success? I picked up the MPV-1100, which is the earlier version of the 1109, and it is way too small. Both part numbers are listed as 45mm caps. I'll be sending it back, but would like to know what to order in its place.
Good news is that the brake cap...
Any luck troubleshooting with the tests mentioned above? Relay swap will tell you if one is bad and A/C test will tell you if it's the temp switch. Third step would be to check with pin connections in the pigtail at the fan... some have recently found bad connections.
Also, before you put the...
Thanks for the reply. Your thoughts definitely support my general suspicion of pad knock back and/or rotor runout. I bled the hell out of the system with my new Motive setup. I initially didn't think it did any better than the old school method with my wife in the car, but was faster and more...
I'll assume you meant to say that you ARE a larger OD, as that SRT setup is roughly 1" larger tire diameter, which equates to roughly a 9.5% speedo impact. You can run a speedo calibration box from someone like Unitrax to adjust for the difference. Other option is just add a nice, round 10%...
I have the same issue, only at full droop. It's just a result of the larger OD tires. Experienced it with both stock SRT-10 wheels/tires and my 18/19 Forgeline setup with SRT-size Michelin Super Sports.
Who did you speak with to determine this $2500 bill is on the low side? Looks like Will @ RSI charges nearly $1000 less, all-inclusive. Labor prices certainly vary by location and it looks like you're paying a good bit more for a used tank than places like Scharf charge, but that's still a chunk...
Can you feel it or just hear it? Wheel hop is typically felt. If it's just a noise, I would check the diff mount bolt torque and condition of the bushings.
Seat looks great! Did they use black leather or a charcoal? I plan to recover my seats. Everyone calls them black, but they sure look charcoal to me. I suppose it doesn't matter in your case with everything else being recovered to match.
I've searched and found a few threads on this subject, but none that were conclusive or had final follow-up with the fix. After installing SRT brakes at all (4) corners, along with SS lines, my pedal travels too much before engagement. It grabs well once it does engage. Seems that the first ~2"...
Graphs aside, multiple ACR owners have documented substantial MPH gain at the drag strip after removing the wing... there is most definitely an impact at speeds below 150mph.
Can someone tell me the diameter of the rear ABS tone ring on the GEN3/4 shafts? I had a spare set and sold them before I thought to measure. I know the front tone ring is identical to the GEN2 cars. Need to verify the rear. According to a web search, they are 54-tooth. I'll count mine this...
They were running third before the last scheduled round of stops. Not sure what happened to drop them back to 7-8 after the cycle. They were moving back up, but that last caution kinda screwed everything. Hope they can put it all together, soon, and grab a podium.
Enjoying this thread very much. I plan to do some interior tweaks in the future. Probably wont be able to go this far, but its great to follow your progress.
Snake-Oyl was kind enough to email me back. Basically said cost is due UPS fees, banking fees, fuel surcharges, environmental fees for cadmium plating, etc. Still doesn't add up for me, but I appreciate that they responded.
I just went to order the brackets only to be charged more than $30 to ship a tiny box to Ohio. Killed the order and sent them an email to see if it's an error. Other folks charged the same? The price is already plenty high for two small brackets. I'll make something before spending over $300 on...
Should be able to hot wire the pump or modify the tune to run continuous. Did this several times with other cars, but haven't needed to with the Viper.
I'd fix the radiator and pressure test the cap before moving on to the pump. Not saying the pump isn't a contributor, but you know the radiator has issue and certain types of leaks can draw air in as the system cools down, creating and endless cycle of burping.
Certainly understand. Car looks great and I'm sure you're psyched to finally have it in the garage. This custom order handling with SRT has been nothing short of embarrassing.
Control arm and differential bushings are another major contributor. Difflection in the OE rubber can "wrap" just like old leaf springs, creating a cycle of alignment geometry change and tire loading in an IRS car. The way our differentials are mounted solidly at the pinion leads to the control...
Just got off the phone with Todd and reaffirmed my previous good impression when placing a relatively small order. Very knowledgeable, easy to talk with, and obviously dedicated to satisfying his customers. I will continue to work with Todd and would not hesitate to recommend A&C to anyone and...
