Sorry but I would expect the majority of resources placed toward emissions and fuel economy regulation moderation. Without moderation the EPA, NHTSA and CARB would enact regulations that would be near impossible, contradictory between agencies and/or favor one manufacturer over others.
Who the hell told you Detroit lobbies for regulatory requirements such as tire pressure sensors??? Think, think, think. Why would they want to force standardization of something that they have used as a priceable improvement. Regulation removes any possible pricing opportunity. It is the...
Sorry, but you miss the point. When someone posts that the Z06 is quicker in the 1/4 and uses your data to support it it is not a good comparison. That is why I asked how many tries, in comparable conditions, etc. And I did not say the declarations were from you. There is a band of vette...
It will be nice when you both have an opportunity to put enough runs under your belt to truly find out the 08/09 Viper limits. Most of us can never provide that opportnity, whether it be due to our location or capability. For that we applaude you (at least most of us). We just want to make...
But both you 1bad and Jamie ignored my questions. How many runs have you made in an 08 Viper to compete against the hundreds (I am guessing here) of runs you have made in a Z06? 5 for you and how many for Jamie? 2, 3, ... Give it an equal amount of comparison and optimization time and I am...
Well I l know how to do it on a Gen 3, but as so many have stated the Gen 4 is so much different I really have no idea how it changed.
Now before anyone starts yelling at my wisecrack note I just responded on the Gen 4 vs Gen 3 post where Gen 4 owners state it should be called Gen 4 because it...
BM1 I agree, but it is also important to maintain some level of consistency from make to make and model to model. I am not aware of any other manufacturer (or press for that matter) that would call an engine or driveline change generational. Body and chassis are the 2 core things which drive a...
Read the court results against Speedway Motosports (zMax mfg) and come to your own conclusion. FTC v. Speedway Motorsports, Inc., and Oil-Chem Research Corporation, (Middle District of North Carolina)
Well is a Corvette ZR1 a C7 or is it still a C6? I would say it has more difference from a 2009 C6 Corvette than a 2008 Viper has from a 2003 Viper.
From an inside perspective we designate vehicle changes as c/o (carryover), MCA (mid cycle action - which externally would be considered as a...
I go by the industry norm for a description of a new vehicle or new generation. That is the body or chassis must be changed significantly. In this case the chassis is the same and the body is the same (with a new hood). I know of no car in history that was considered new based on a new...

Honestly I could not do it. I have tracked my Gen III several times but am always very careful to not break at launch or shifts (mine is supercharged) as I use Sport Cups and Kumhos. Conversely I have autocrossed it numerous times (won our region 3 years running) and take it to the road track...
In summary, and with no negative thoughts, altitude is important. So when someone asks what a car should be capable of doing, with an assumption that they are speaking of in their area, the numbers provided should be adjusted accordingly. I know of several programs that will calculate the...
All I know is I have seen very few street tire cars ever break into the 11's at that track. An 11.7 is quite good there.
I did an internet search and this is the only C6Z06 stock posting that I could locate (and I am not spending all night looking for them). It is pretty indicative of what I...
Here are the altitudes (in ft) for all the tracks mentioned (in order). I was incorrect as there are 3 that are at higher elevations (in comparison but not really high altitude). But all the higher altitude tracks are high on the list.
92 Mir Raceway Budds Creek Md
92 Maryland International...
At an altitide of 660 ft it is indeed pretty indicative of real world settings. At least more indicative of the altitude that a large portion of the population lives.
At 92 ft MIR would be quite a bit below the average.
Read again idiot. I said I defy YOU to run a 11.5 at that track. Quoting an 11.71 is not exactly evidence of your ability to do so.
And I bet that the best the best drivers could do is around a 11.3 at that track.
I never raced in anything that had a "Championship."
And I personally would feel ashamed to have my Viper pictured on a Mustang magazine. Isn't like a babe picture on a gay guy magazine.
So the answer would be none. But if you think that is needed to know the difference between a 50 ft...
Your English is so poor I have a hard time understanding what you are asking. But if it is what Viper events have I drag raced a Viper in it would include: 2008 VOI 10, Midwest Rendezvous in St. Louis (2007?), Midwest Rendezvous in Detroit (2003), VOI St. Louis, VOI Las Vegas.
Also multiple...
