From what SCT told me, both PCMs appeared to be locked for slightly different reasons, see my previous post.
I'll talk with SCT today to find out which one woke up and take it from there - my money's on it being my spare/second PCM.
Many thanks again - can't say this often enough. :2tu:
That is excellent news - huge thanks. :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:
:clap::drive::2tu::dance:
Many thanks. :2tu:
Yeh, PCMs and SCT programmer are still with SCT, until I say what to do.
I just PMd MoparBoyy.
I wanna get this resolved quickly - it's been long enough.
A call for help…..
I need to pick your brains to see if anyone has experienced the following problem/s:-
As you know from my post above, during dyno tuning I developed a software gremlin that resulted in locking the PCM comms “error code 11 no autodetect”
To cut a long story short, I’d...
If you want more power, you need to improve flow through the engine - sort of obvious I guess.
Your stock heads are the biggest flow restriction, followed by zorst and to even lesser extent the other cheaper and easier things to replace.
Improve your flow, in whichever way you're comfortable...
I apologise in advance for the English sense of hummmer….
It is with deep regret that I must inform the NY and Connecticut Region of the VCA that one of your members, better known as “The Wizard” who’s been visiting like minded petrol-heads in milder climates of the East Atlantic, better...
Dyno testing went reasonably well yesterday.
Video attached – hope you enjoy…..

The new zorst sounds stunning….. video sound clips are sometimes not very good - it’s got a low rumble, no harsh rasp at all …… just how I wanted it. :2tu...
I totally agree with you all - the one on the left looks like a retired piece of the space shuttle.
Anyway, all fabrication work is now complete and sound testing came in at 98dB for 4,500 rpm so I'm good to go.
I pick her up tomorrow then it's off for a dyno tune on Saturday and some...
"Usually" all lights come on with the key in the ON position so you can check none of the bulbs are burned out.....
Time to start wrestling with your instrument cluster wiring Tony. :(
Cfiiman,
Zorst smoke was just a little steam heating off the headers – no-biggie!
CEF,
Good things come to those that wait.
Final GTS/Fatty/Cfiiman/CEJ/Knight Viper/Voodoo Rob/Blackandblue01/JnM SRT/MTGTS/Plum and everyone else that's taken the time to say a few words,
"Many thanks for...
That's exactly what I'm doing at the moment - got a mostly Belanger setup - gonna have a second pair of turnbacks with hi-flow cats in the middle so I can easily change them out when needed.
I'll post some picks on my head change thread in a few weeks when I'm all done. :2tu:
You've also got the rain baffle in the stock air box that allegedly restricts air flow.
Agree with night viper on improving brakes - you can make huge improvements in this area by simply fitting lighter weight and performance rotors and better pads but I guess that all depends on what you want...
Managed to run engine up mid-week and produce this short piece of video.

As you can imagine, I was over the moon with joy - engine noise in the garage again after such a long time was wonderful - no idea what dB it was but it was uncomfortable for...
Thanks for feedback and support guys.
Final GTS,
Many thanks for your feedback.:2tu:
Yep, I understand where you're coming from.
I think you could be right - I am using Gen2 gaskets - I recon they were just less than 1mm thick, probably smaller now compressed.
A Gen3 gasket might have...
Thanks Mark. :2tu:
Ordered the pushrods and received them in super quick time – FedEx import and handling fees to pay again but that’s another story.
Fitted the pushrods then checked at TDC for any errors.
Also pulled fuel pump relay in the trunk and used the starter motor to turn...
Appreciate the replies guys. :2tu:
The engine has been without heads fitted for about 1 week in total – during this time I mainly cleaned the block head faces - I then fitted a spare set of Gen 3 heads to keep everything under compression.
Happy New Year to you too, and everyone else, if...
Some good progress over the last couple of weeks, although a few setbacks prior to the Christmas break which left me waiting until after the holiday before I could resolve them. :(
This was namely the newly installed PS bracket mounts which still wasn't quite aligned correctly.
Back to the...
Yeh - I've pulled my tranny a couple of times from axle stands.
I needed to use heavier duty stands though, to jack the car up higher.
These are 6 ton stands and give good stability with enough height.
And I used a motorcycle scissor lift to lower the tranny out of the tunnel.
