Newbies can get comfortable with tuning by E mailing the log files to Sean Roe.
Sean can analyze the results and reply with new tuning parameters for you to load.:2tu:
Hmm cut outs...will that pass state vehicle inspection?
If you offer a ride to the inspection mechanic do you think he will pass it? lol
Awesome JD!!
Any mods to the transmission or rear to handle this?

1. You will notice that the avatars did not transfer over successfully. VCA Members can now upload their own avatars - like right now! What we would request (and will enforce) is that they stay true to the "Vipers Only" rules. Anything else WILL be deleted. We will continue to try to get...
It does read:
Pickup only - see item description for details
Will arrange for local pickup only (no shipping).
Not that this is valid excuse to misrepresent the wheels.
Words like perfect and mint apparently mean something different in NY.
KepRight has it right IMO.
With flashing or the AEM both fuel and timing can be modified, in closed and open loop mode(WOT). The VECII is intended for open loop tweaking although there are others here that will disagree with that.
To get the most HP from a reflash do a baseline dyno pull...
Plumcrazy is right if you are asking if the stock PCM can be tuned by a local Tuner.
It can be reflashed for $500 with a program that will modify timing and fuel but the tune will not be optimized for your car.
There have been a few VECIIs for sale in the $600 price range and that would be a...
Kenny you wrote; I won't be posting anything more on this until my Viper has been thoroughly inspected and the results are known.
What sort of inspection? Are they going to pull the engine, completely dismantle and inspect the internals for heat damage?
BTW I have the VECII and Magnacore plug...
I agree with plum, that A/F graph looks fine. There is a rich spot near 4K rpms on 1 run but the rest of the curve is OK. I wish my A/F was that flat.
It would interesting to compare the dyno A/F with street runs, when you get the laptop.
Using the front hanger without a flex pipe would be a problem because of the close proximity to the engine.
The next hanger is located near the front of the rear wheels.
Belangers do not use the front OEM hanger and there seems to be enough flex in the system making a flex pipe unnecessary.
THIS CAR HAS OVER A THOUSAND HOURS IN BUILDING IT. Why would someone waste 1000hrs of their life ?
IT NEEDS TO BE FINISHED. NOT
With all the tow trucks in the background it looks like they specialize in projects like this.
The Roe PCM has the stock program original to the early GENII Vipers. This version and the VECII software are more compatible.
There is no performance advantage to install the Roe PCM on a unmodified engine.
Like others I stuck with the stock PCM and had no codes, however it was a PITA to tune.
Along with a fuel spike, at the trasition from closed loop to open loop, the A/F would become erratic while street tuning.(on a closed track of course)
A/F would be OK on the first couple of runs then turn...
CROM if you get the supercharger, me and Kelly C. will install it in my garage for free.
We promise not to redline it too often while tuning it. :smirk:
We will even endurance test it at Summit Point if you pay the track fee. :)
A close friend was a Service Writer at a Ford Dealership near Allentown PA. This was in the mid 60s when Lee Iacocca was the district sales manager. Ford had a few brand new 427 AC Cobras they could not get rid of.
He could have bought one for $5K!!
However that is what he recently paid for...
Good points here.
Of all the Hemi cars I bought and sold none were pristine garage queens. Hemis had oiling issues and were prone to spun bearings. Since they were expensive to fix and highly desired by racers the engines were sold and replaced with a lesser one. Hopefully not a slant 6. :eek...
