Re: Remove the \"pickle\" from a set of bellanger headers ???
Is the Belanger collector longer than the competition?
Wonder if the pickle improves flow velocity due to the length of the collector.
Lets hear what Lou Belanger has to say.
Re: Remove the \"pickle\" from a set of bellanger headers ???
I recall that a Viper Tech posted a dyno chart comparing back to back pulls running Bellangers with pickles and :nono: brand without. There was a substantial gain in HP and the thought was it may be due to the pickle.
It appears...
After calculating the $$ per HP...OUCH!!
Dyno run = 600 RWHP
Stock GTS= 420 RWHP
Net Gain = 180 RWHP
$34900/180 = $193 per RWHP!
Compare this to a ROE S/C with a 8lb pulley and headers.
$10,000/180 = $ 55 per RWHP
Bang for the buck is not there IMHO.
Kenny this sounds like progress. :2tu:
When the weather warms up and the streets are clear give us another report. Until then detail the car and make ready for spring.
Kenny all these posts about what is wrong with your Viper can be very depressing.
How about a uplifting post about what the car does well.
ANYTHING!!!!!!
I'm no lawyer but I think this would be self incrimnation:
4) Ken and I have several times requested a summary of work performed and parts changed and no such summary has been received,
That ain't gonna happen.
Kenny rather than pay a lawyer I would use the funds for a new battery and...

Some car forums will not permit Carfax requests since providing a free report is considered fraud.
Better to request a report then E mail the VIN to the willing accomplice
Damn Yankee all this reading is giving me a headache. :bonker:
Engineers prefer hard data such as charts, pictures and graphs.
Dispense with the writing and graph a few 3rd gear pulls, with the stock tune, and post the results.
Seriously thanks for your efforts. I don't recall a thread...
Re: OMG! Viper running terrible!! Hard to describe symptoms but I\'ll try
This voltage range is :2tu: . The slighly higher voltage at WOT means the throttle position is optimal.
Unless electrical noise is the issue, requires a scope to diagnose, I would look elesewhere.
Re: OMG! Viper running terrible!! Hard to describe symptoms but I\'ll try
There is a three wire plug on the TPS sensor, the middle wire is the sensor output.
Nick the insulation and with a digital voltmeter check for a smooth transition between .5V(idle) to about 4V(WOT). Black meter lead to...

The OEM gaskets did not exactly match the Belanger header flange. Taking a Dremel tool to the OEMs would have made the gasket too thin in some areas IMO.
The Belanger gaskets are in service for over a year without leaks. However the header bolts torque is checked on occasion.
CODY
CarFax fraud invesitgators are lurking everywhere.
The perpetrator is traced by the VIN in posts like these.
