    Viper Transportation

The key is to pay the most. Truckers get online offers through their brokers. They figure their routes based on location, price and delivery. If you don't pay $2000, good luck seeing your car in one piece. Had a friend personally drive to Florida and pick ours up. At least a 1000 mile trip two...

    GTS vs ACR

And the winner is, about $15k. That's the difference. Ta Da! It is what it is. Just find the car you love and drive it. This thing does 0-60 in a few seconds. Built engine. Only $30k invested. You can spend a zillion on a Hell Cat red eye, for what? Bragging rights? On a cruise home from a local...

    3-Piece Lemke top identification.

Profile looks like mine. Screw goes through the hole in the rear bar. Front is flat. Find someone in your club with a gen 1 and test fit it.

Buying a low mile Gen 1 Viper, any tips for what to expect?

My issues were all cooling related. New water pump. New hoses. New thermostat. No coolant, just water. Was a Florida car. Thank God I checked or it would have frozen the first Winter. I did it all myself. Thermostat was a giant PITA.

    Floor Mats

Have new after market ones. Came with a plastic hook that just threaded into the carpet. I think black zip ties through a small slit would work fine.

94 Viper starts, dies, but then starts and runs great

When you turn the key on you should hear the fuel pump. Let it run for a few seconds then start the car. If the problem goes away start looking down line. Haven't researched the fuel system, but assume it's the same as all cars of that age. Pressure regulator and bypass line. Sounds like the...

    Switched Insurance

And my guys at Erie know I'm not gonna be stupid and break this beast. You guys are over thinking this. Right now she's in the sleep mode. Fire and theft until I tell them differently. I do have friends with multi million dollar collections. In that case you insure each vehicle accordingly. He...

    Question, tires for 94

Ditto. Got mine there last year. They were pretty much order in advance though. Ask for Luke at the South Bend store.

    Question, tires for 94

I believe the gen 1 owner's manual actually says to cut one foot squares of plywood, cover them with carpeting and park on them in storage.

    Belanger Exhaust

Parting thought; there was a family in our town that owned a Busch racing team back in the day. They took the car to car shows and local events. When we drove by it at a show I racked the pipes. They had to start the race car. It may have been a little louder, but not much.

I think you are correct. Google Ronald McDonald Viper. One on Viper exchange.

Gen 1 owners and/or service manual

Saw one on Ebay yesterday. There are reproduction owners manuals out there also. The only difference is that the cover doesn't fold out.

    Belanger Exhaust

This old thing has headers and mini cats with the side pipes. Deafening. Annoying to drive further than the next car show. Listen to a set first. Is cool when you start it up or when it backfires and flames come out the pipes.

Looking for a Steel Gen 1 Center cap

You might post a picture. The early ones were flat in the center around the hex. Later were recessed. Ebay has a set of the later ones listed now. I have a polished aluminum of the later version.

    Opinions, Looking at 94 RT10

Try to find someone who knows the car so you can get the history as to what is original and what has been replace as far as maintenance items. Would hate to start down the list of needed updates and have to do them all. Looks like a beauty. First check is to just drive it and see how much and...

    2003 with RR wheel grinding.....

Bearing? Replaced one on this thing. Jack it up and see if it has any wobble. Mine did take out one pad.

    Will this effect value?

A few recent posts have asked about pricing and resale. If you like it chances are someone else will like it. Allegedly ours has 501 RWHP. All internal mods and headers. Guy who had the work done says he put nearly $20k in the engine. Think he got ripped off. Unless you intend to race it's...

    Upgrade Stereo

Mine has the coolest radio. Old Kenwood with retractable in dash DVD player, Garmin GPS and rear back up camera. Regarding your search, there is probably an interface that just tunes in to an FM channel. Had them back in the day.

    Replacement interior trim parts

I believe that's the sport cap pad. I fixed my door trim with plastic epoxy from the back side. Splint it with metal. You can fill missing pieces with body putty and paint it. I've had no luck finding trim parts.

    Heater Hose Replacement Question

Don't know what year you are working on. If the thermostat housing is in the rear you risk breaking the windshield because of those damnable Mopar hose clamps. Thermostat housing has reverse torx bolts. Some silicone hoses have a bleeder port. If not I've found the best way to get most of the...

1994 RT/10, might be buying one and needs some tips

Oh. The biggest awe snap was that it was Florida car. It had no coolant. Only water. Don't even know why I checked it.
