Sounds like it is just as described early on, some "pressure" was put on to cut the deal.
I know who I will stay away from for parts.
I bought some land in a small town outside of Austin in the hillcountry where there was one real estate office. The owner of that office came across as if he...
I have to agree, she was one of the most beautiful woman in the world when she was younger and before she had so many 'mods'. The injected lips and the over the top makeup ruin it for me personally.
She does have good taste in cars however!
Re: ?\'s Regarding 1996 GTS w/salvage title???
I think most people only buy one salvaged car in their life (if that). There will be exceptions, but it's rare.
Reason is, is because after owning one, you will realize how many things can go wrong and all the little annoyances that come along...
I agree, that really stinks. If the other bidder wants to use the parts for themselves, that's fine. But if it's a used parts dealer and they are trying to buy it just to sell it back at an inflated price, then that's just wrong.
Who is this and what is the link?
The original poster said he didn't want to track the car. So, by ALL accounts, these "mods" aren't necessary.
If you ARE tracking a car, then there are a ton of people out there who will try and sell you "necessary" mods to improve track performance, many of which are valid. And yes, there...
I think it's interesting that those of us who have the cars DON'T have any problems and the only ones you see saying this is a problem are the two people who are trying to SELL something.
Just an observation.
I also don't think there is an overheating issue. I live in Austin Texas and have taken the car out in 100+ weather with AC blasting and stuck in traffic. The car has never overheated. I have the stock radiator.
I would recommend replacing the stock cats with hi-flow cats. This helps with...
I've actually "heard" just the opposite, that some people who track their cars prefer the 96 oil pans because they have larger capacities and provide better cooling.
I've been around vipers for about 6 years now and have never heard of the fan issue before.
If I had a buck for everytime a...
Guys,
I think if you read carfax's fine print you will see that the $5K guarantee is only guaranteeing their report is accurate, not that the car has never been wrecked. BIG difference. In other words, if it's been totalled and the total was never reported to the state, then carfax has no...
yes, I believe that's who made mine. Sean can tell you for sure.
Stock vipers have two side resonators and one rear muffler. The side ones are mounted just past the cats on either side of the car. All vipers were made this way except the 96 RT's. They came stock from the factory with the...
Oh and yes I reinstalled my heat shields although it is a tight fit. I didn't bother to pop rivet them back in, I still have the small holes in my side sills. It might help ventilate the heat? yea! that's why I left them out! ya, that's it!
no, they don't have to be welded. I did mine in my garage with basic handtools and some suggestions from Sean. Use strap mounts on both sides and all should be fine. I've had mine in for a year or so and no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend them and also removing the side mufflers...
Oreca,
you might also want to render that model with raytracing or radiosity to get a more realistic rendering. If your modeling package doesn't support that, you might find several free rendering packages online that will.
Good luck and keep the designs coming!
Oreca,
Nice modeling. I'm an art director for a game company so I do a lot of modeling/animation as well.
The model looks very similar to a mustang in my opinion. I would take some design cues from the original GTS and see how many curves you can add to the comp coupe. Might be an...
You raise some good points, but the bottom line is reliability.
Sure, you can create massive horsepower n/a but for how long?
I'm an avid Nascar fan and used to have a nascar license as well as a street stock race car (beginner class). Nascar Winston cup engines can put out 800 hp out of a...
Yea, Jon and I used to work together making video games.
He's a real die hard vette guy and was disapointed when I got a Viper! (too much competition I guess).
I will agree the GTS viper does look better than a Z06
No doubt there...
but to say the Viper
has a better looking interior is simply not true.
I would agree with you there too...
With equal drivers I would give the edge to the GTS over the 405 Z06.And of course it has...
