Call Henry Velasco (Yes, the guy who builds top fuel cranks). He does Viper cranks and I know he has a couple of blanks in stock.
Like Anthony - 98 said, if your going to pay for a crank, you might has well make it a stroker :2tu:
A great big THANK YOU to GaryA (he posts regularly on these boards) for transporting my Viper from LA back home to Indy. Everyone, If you ever need your Viper moved, Gary the only person for the job.
Gary called me just after he loaded the car and each day of the drive. His service is...
Re:
Jon,
I have the same book. It's awesome! Mr. Bell has another book out called Maximum Boost . It is similar to the "Supercharged!" book but all about turbochargers. Although some of the material is redundant, both books are excellent. These are both must have books for anyone...
The R Head was created at the request of the GTS-R racing program. The stock heads caused overheating problems on 24 endurance events.
Actually DC makes three heads: stock, Mopar performance, and GTS-R heads!
The GTS-R heads cost more because:
CNC porting
Copper valve seats
Hardend steel...
Jon,
You can always sell your ported heads to a non S/C car and buy a set of GTS-R heads. You might check and see though... I thought I heard someone say that these heads are getting harder to get.

Remember, only 99 and later had the 18" wheels. Earlier models had 17". And 96 and early 97 wheels were cast AL vs forged AL.
Aside from the personal choice of what you think looks best on your own car, the fact is that with larger wheels, you can add larger aftermarket brakes.
I tried to order a shirt from the Apparel hyperlink on the main page. I was told that the shirt I wanted was discontinued but that new shirts would be appearing soon. Anyone in the VCA have any information on this?
I have been thinking about buying a car lift to double the storage space in my garage. I have seen three types advertised:
Double-Park
Revolution
Backyard Buddy
Does anyone have experience with any of these?
Ford is not going to produce as many of these as Dodge did the Viper or BMW the Z8. Prices will probably remain high as long as demand exceeds supply.
But like DrumrBoy, I'd like to find one in about 5 years for 80-90K.
Sean,
Thanks. The information is great. Do you or anyone have a 3d map of the stock PCM fuel and spark characteristics?
Could you make a card for me based on 542ci and a 233/233 [email protected] duration cam?
