The fuel pump will not solve that. Just cycle the key to build up pressure in the line. Turn to run position and listen for the pump to RUN for a few seconds. Turn to OFF position for a few seconds then RUN again, listen for the pump, then start car.
That's if you don't have a leaky...
One thing to inform people is to specify the year of the Viper.
I put in 'Window wiring', nothing came up. Was vague on purpose. Did the same with 'Fuel pump wiring circuit' and it came up with 97, 98 and 2005 pages and info.
Was disappointed when I asked if the Viper was a puzzy magnet...
The fuel pump delivery modules are PWM (i.e. pulse width modulation) to not require the use of a return fuel line.
You can use larger gauge wire (i.e. smaller wire) for high current as it is not continuously at 12V but pulsing.
@daveg and @GTSnake it will be on the relay (most have them stamped). If not, pin 86 and 85 are the 12V coil side. 30, 87 and 87a are the swiitch side.
I just tuck the wire under the trim without removing it as we do not have airbags to be considered about.
Can you try the backup cam just on the rear window?
And how often do you drive at night?
I haven't dived into it physically just by wiring diagram. Have not checked fuses nor anything.
The amp power feed is hot all the time through the fuse.
My thinking as the battery discharged the amp switched on causing the connector to melt as the voltage dropped increasing the current.
It...
