    I have a 97 B/W that I bought new. I never intended for it to be a garage queen, but after the first few years work, relocation and other factors just prevented me from doing much driving. The car has all of 6500 miles on it today! No hurry to sell, and probably won't till I retire!

    Be prepared to introduce Mr. Curb to Mr. Front End a lot more often. Also you must align, and as Ron said adjust the springs before the alignment... I'm still kicking myself for not doing that.

    Nice, semi-deep scratches - help?

    Per Gerald's message above, you can remove many of these kind of scratches by hand with the 3M fine cut rubbing compound. It does take some effort, but I've done it several times. I have a professional buffing machine, but I always prefer trying by hand first, it's also less clean up as well...

    Before you cut, check out Autoform. They have a panel that has the slots precut in case you don't want to take a chance with your original... as I recall it was inexpensive too.

    Same here! I've got 546's as well and played hell getting both fronts off this weekend. Ended up under the lift and kicking from the inside out... not a position I enjoy being in. By the way, (anyone) what is PB Blaster?
