Not sure what is more eye catching, the price for a 7k miles B\W GTS or the hood gap...wonder what stories this car would tell if it could talk..something does not seem right.
1997 DODGE VIPER GTS
Thanks guys. I will connect with the seller to see what the story is.
Yes I was looking back even before 2007 but hit a financial speed bump, had a bad ebay experience on a 96 GTS, and now I am back in the market. I have noticed that the prices have seemed to stay the same since which is nice...
Sorry, link from autotrader added to the thread

Price seems a little on the high end and has been on autotrader for a while...but it is a stock, one owner, with all documentation.
Wondering if anyone one here knows or owns this car?

Thanks, however in a few of the listings above you have the owner pay off the lien first but that is the problem at hand as the owner needs the money from my loan to pay off the lien. Kind of a catch 22 in that I need the loan to pay off his loan and vice versa.
Looks like the check made out...
Hi I am looking at a 97 B\W GTS in West Des Moines Iowa. Anyone available to take a look for me?
It is available to see as early as this weekend if possible.
Please let me know,
Thank you

Thanks guys. I have read stories of removing tint and accidently cutting defroster lines and the job sounds messy so I would rather have a pro do it but sounds like that is not an issue.
Thanks again
Sorry for the newbie to buying a used car from a private owner question but wondering how this works.
The GTS I am looking at has a lien on it, obviously I want a lien free title but the seller needs my money in order to pay off the loan. How does this work so both myself the buyer and him the...
Looking at a 97 GTS that has 30% tint on the side and rear glass. Not looking to start a debate but window tint is not for me and my question is can I assume the tint can be removed professionally without a problem?
The price is right as well as the location is driveable for me but before even running a carfax I saw that it had 33 carfax entries as well a dealer selling for a good price so I was not getting the warm and fuzzy.
Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.
1997 Dodge Viper in Williamsville, NY...
The car is back on ebay! Kinda gets me because it looks to be that this seller puts it at no reserve then bids on it with another account if the reserve is not what he wants for it.
Again take a look at the ebay stats, the "winner" was someone who bids on 37% of the sellers auctions and now...
Wondering if anyone has used a CarCoon (or similar air\bubble type storage) and if they had any options on it.
I hear it is a pain to zip up so not for everyday use but more alongs the line of long term storage.
Thanks

Not sure if you have seen the new stats that EBAY has built into the system. Of note on this auction was that the "winning bid" who has a rating of (20) has bid with the seller of the viper 37% of their bid history.
One reason they now show this stat is to see if someone setup an account(s)...
No time left for me to ask Chuck Tator to run a VIN check on service history:omg:
Auction ended at $34,544..wow I hope this is a victory story for someone and not the seller bidding under another account against himself.
Fun one to watch.
I emailed the seller and he emailed back in under 4 hours and they have an ebay rating of over 500 with 98% sat, so I am sure it is legit. But as always buyer beware.
Are those red (instead of factory black) engine intakes smooth tubes?
Take a look at this pic for a 96 GTS and tell me if you think this is odd hood gap or if the hood was just not closed properly in the photo

Nice. I see that, I can join as "concerned citizen" for $20 a year. Great find thank you. They didn't have a lot of info on their site as far as criteria for loan but I assume you were able to use them and they didn't have that silly rule of the used car can't be more then 7 or 8 years old...and...
