Blah blah blah Alexarz, have you ever been to a track? This thread is about numbers and what times people are running in their respective cars, be it Vette or Viper.
I will try to get the timeslip and see what was left on the table. While he is no pro drag racer, he can drive fairly well. Milan has a reputation for extremely poor track prep on test and tune nights.

A friend of my ran an 11.71 in his ZO6 at Milan ice rink on his sencond pass. And that was the first time he took his car to the track. The best I could run 12.01 and 121 in my 06 vert. He was trapping a good 4-5 mph faster than my Viper all night Temp was around 77
The only application that this V10 is "fantastic" for is the Viper, where all of its shortcomings do not matter. This engine is a fossil, based on the old LA family of engines. Unbalanced, unrefined with a terrible exhaust note.
This is a hot rod truck engine plain and simple. I could see it...
I think you hit the nail on the head. This is exactly why Chrysler cant even sell out 1200 '08 cars. I was 25 when I got my '06 and could have cared less about the Vipers shortcomings. But 2 years and 24k miles later I am in a love/hate relationship with the car.
