If You Had to Dump Your Viper...What Car Would You Get?

"still exotic but more of a daily driver.." I would go with an Elise, but since I commute to Boston where some of the pot holes can swallow an Elise, then I will have to consider mr. ulgy (GT-R).

    2013 Viper Poll

Not sure. It is definitely a nice car, just not sreaming Viper or having that same effect on me like Gen1 or Gen3 did when they first came out. But I am sure time can change that... I hope.

Flower Mound teen dies after flipping Dodge Viper this weekend

Sad story and my prayer goes out to the family. Bad driver comes in all ages, while accident can happen to even the most experienced driver. Having said that I think most of us would agreed, a Viper is just too easy to get into trouble with in the hands of an inexperienced driver.

    Orange Crush

Agreed. That is the best looking part of the car. Every time I see one of these on the road I want one, I am still hoping that they will make a convertible version someday.

Post your pic of your Gen 1 Vipers

Does anyone have more pics of the red gen 1 with gen 4 ACR paint scheme (black center with red stripe over the driverside)? It was a VA car on the July/August 2011 issue of viper mag.

Now Insurance co. Wants To Fix Car They said Was Totalled

They can"t just give you a repair estimate without a shop agreement of that estimate. So if the 2 shops that you are refering to are approved serivce provider by the insurance company then the insurance company has to work with them to give you a fair and equitible estimate. I don't know who...

Now Insurance co. Wants To Fix Car They said Was Totalled

If it was me, I would have it flatbed to a reputable shop that your insurance company approves and that you have a personal relationship with. Personally, I am not a fan of fixing a totaled car and given the fact that this is a stated value of $48k, then I would make sure the shop will give you...

Need help deciding on a lift

Bigbadviper, You saw my other post so you know I when thru the same thing not too long ago. If possible, find someone near by that has one and see it in person to truly compare the quality. I can't comment on all make, but I have seen a few and I could have gone with either a Rotary or a BYB...

    Track Car for Teenager

2011 WRX wagon. You got awd for the snow and track, you got plenty room for stuff, good looking style, can be had for mid 20s and reasonable cost for insurance. FWD like SRT4 or Civic Si or GTI are great cars for DD, but not best for track. Yes EVO and STI are nice, but to much for a 18...

Throw up pics of your Personalized Viper License Plates

    Agreed value policy....??

Also try American Collectible and Grundy. Most "value based policy" will also require you to sign a "no minor / under 21" driver waver. That said, I am not sure would anyone give you a policy for $85k for a 06. Eventhough it is value base, they still have guide lines. Good luck.

    Rotary/Revolution Lift Installation cost $$$

OK, It has been a long time since I started this thread, but now that I finally got a lift set up at home, I feel it is necessary to provide an update here. Anyhow, to make a long story short, I decided not to go with Rotary, because the regional sale guy was not very helpful nor motivated to...

Need help - Backyard Buddy Lift

BTW I don't have any interference rotating clock wise either, but I would be interested to know how the newer models are setup. Do let me know if and when you have a chance to check it out. Thanks.

Need help - Backyard Buddy Lift

Agreed. The hook style has to go. I will be calling BYB in the morning to see if they have updated spare parts. If not I might take your approach. Thanks.

Need help - Backyard Buddy Lift

The plate is horizontal and yes there is a damage part on the other end of the pic (not framed, just the way I took the pic) which on the older design is a 1/4 inch "J" actually more like "L" shaped linkage. Anyhow, mind has interference on both end of the lift if I rotate the release lever...
