On my "to do" list is a shifter install. I'll take a close look at that as well while I'm down there. I'm thinking it's electrical with it being kinda intermittent, but anything's possible!!

Brushed centers with polished lip. Pain in the a$$ to keep clean, but worth it. Car is lowered on Eibachs, stock caps.
I just did a search on this issue....experiencing the same symptoms as you've explained. I assume I have a speedo calibrator since mine has gears, but I haven't located the actual unit yet. Gonna do some checking this weekend and see what's up. My car starting running a bit rough about the...
Was curious if there were any updates to this thread? I'm experiencing the strange speedo works/doesn't work issue the last few times I've had it out.
2001 Viper GTS. Also noticed the car seems to be idling a bit lower than usual. She's about to get a tune up so I'll poke around and see if...
Congrats on the purchase! Love those yeller vipers!
I'll also suggest partsrack. Only bought a handful of things from him in the past but everything went smoothly. He also seems very active on the board, so that's another good sign.
Custom wheels are really going to drastically improve the appearance of any car. Pick the style you like and go with it. Browse through the "wheel/tire" thread and see what floats your boat. Vipers are pretty rare to begin with...here's a chance to make it even more "unique."
I'm planning on taking mine this year. Missed it last year due to work :( Guess there will be two sapphires this year :) Planned the trip out and I'm looking at just shy of 4K miles round trip. Yikes!!
Very nice looking GTS! Makes me wonder if I should have held out and bought a modded one instead.
That being said, you're likely to make more moolah parting it out (seems to be the norm on modded cars)....however time and effort tends to get lengthy. If you decide to part out that Roe...
I'd ask for a scanned copy of the title along with pictures of the car VIN#. Talk to the owner often and use common sense. Ask the owner to take it to get inspected....if he refuses things like this, then likely there's something fishy going on. Get a carfax and make sure it's inline with the...
PM Nine Ball (the OP) for a price. He's got plenty of options when it comes to wheels. He can even get you tires.
Pretty amazing how just a new set of wheels gives the car a whole different attitude/look. Well worth it IMO.
Thought I'd share this. Went to the Houston "Cars & Coffee" event yesterday. A local photographer, Michael Cole, typically goes around and snaps photos and posts them up. Didn't even realize I picked such a perfect parking spot :)
I can certainly relate to the "wheels too big" comments...took me a while to settle in to this look. All I know is THIS guy likes the look, and that's all that matters.
Rice??????
Thanks for wheels/tires Nine Ball...great guy to work with!!
Stared at them for another hour tonight....truly amazed at the detail of these wheels. Celeste even likes them :)
