I sold my Viper and part of the deal did not include the hardtop. It is listed here in the VCA classifieds. I thought someone here might be interested.

It looks like I will be keeping my rare Viper. Thanks to everyone for the good information. Sorry things got a little "Jerry Springer" on this thread. It certainly was not the intention. Peace out everyone. Let's let this thread grow old and die.
This happened to me a few years ago in my 97 RT/10. There is a kit available from Tom's. It replaces the rear calipers and give more balanced braking. These cars need this. As far as your tires go, like everyone said, they are toast. I tried to find other options too. All I can say is get...
Again, thanks guys. I think there has been a great deal of good information presented. It boils down to how fast do I need to sell it. If I want the car gone in a week, then eBay would work. But then I have to expect to get less money. That is understood. If I can wait for the right buyer...
Thank you to all who have chimed in here, especially you, Bill. There has been a lot of good information posted here. Hopefully I can avoid selling the car, that would be the best thing. I will know more in the upcoming weeks.
I may be needing to sell my Viper. If I do, no worries, I'll be back to the community soon. I need to get some opinions on what it might be worth. If I decide to sell it, I would like to ask a price that will move it along fairly quickly. It is a 1997 RT/10. It has 15k miles on it. It is...
I agree. I would recommend the Matco version. It has a lithium ion battery. There are many benefits to that. For one, the battery won't go dead if the tool sits for a couple of months. They also have tremendous lifespan between charges. The Matco is a torque monster. Good luck.:2tu:
I can understand why some of you are sceptical about the "kill." My wife was the so-called victim of the Lance Romance b.s. post. Nice schooling. It sounds to me like Aries has a bad-ass hot rod. Let him be. He kicked some ass and just wants to tell folks about it. That is all. It is not...
Does anybody know how to tell how many 1997 RT/10's are still out there? They only made 117 to begin with. I saw a thread a while back about 1998 GTS's. The person who made that thread knew how many had been wrecked, salvaged and returned as lemons. Where is this information available?
Bob, from my experience in racing poor results can come from a combination of things. Just from what I have read here I believe you are on the right track with the 5th gear swap. It is just too steep of a ratio for what you are trying to do. I too would leave the rear end alone. Regarding...
Actually there were a lot of people there. We came in under the radar and just had a nice time meeting new people. I am looking forward to some of the events that are planned.:drive:
It was our first club meeting. We met some very nice people.
Looking forward to the next one.
And true, No Lanceromance. Although someone came up to me and introduced himself as Lance. I have to admit for a split second he had me going...:):)
It has made its way to the LS1 tech forum as well. I am not sure exactly which one, but a friend that is familiar with this thread said he was approached by someone asking if he has ever seen a SSG Viper near his house. Soon enough any car enthusiast is going to know about the infamous...
