    Low Mileage Vipers

I understand that people buy cars for different reasons, what I don't get is someone buying a car and putting 150 miles on the car and selling one or six months later. Did the person not understand what they are buying, or is it a bucket list thing? I have been looking at Gen 4 cars and many of...

    Interested in RT/10

I installed side pipes on my 2002 RT/10 using high flow cats,gen4 mufflers and turn outs, seal covers from Autoform. I did the work myself including paint, for a cost of around $1900.00. I know some would say thats alot of money for side pipes, but it is a Viper and it should have side pipes. I...

I have a 2002 RT/10, I do all the maintenance on the car. Parts are reasonable, I have changed all the fluids, the power steering pulley and bracket, clutch slave cylinder and clutch, shifter, brakes, exhaust and wheel bearings all in my garage without a rack or special tools. So if you are...

    Audio question RT/10

I have a 2002 RT/10, last year I replaced the door speakers with Polk 5 1/4 inch speakers 4 ohm, now the subwoofer in the console is torn and needs replaced. I did a search and found the most popular choice is the JL 6 1/2 subwoofer, but it is only 4 ohms and OEM is 6 ohms. My question is does...

    Brakes

If all you are concerned about is the brake dust, use ArmorAll Wheel Protectant. I have used this for the past summer and it works great. I put 30 miles on my car a day and the wheels will stay nice for about a month. Just make sure you follow the directions on the spray can. I purchased mine at...

    Gen III/IV owners that own(ed) a Gen I/II

I have a 2002 GenII RT/10 and have been looking at GenIII and IVs. The newer generations have more room. I am 6'3" with 34" inseam and I made seat brackets that lower the seat almost 3" and I can just get a helmet on with the stock top. I have a three piece trunk top and I just fit with no...

    Vipers Prices Gen 3

I have a Gen 2 and have been looking at Gen 3 and Gen 4 convertibles. The Gen 3's seem to have issues with oiling, and now the rear control arm, which hurts the value of the car. I would rather pay $15,000 more and purchase a Gen 4 than buy a Gen3 and put $5,000 in it to fix the problems it seem...

Vibration "changed" with new motor mounts

Theeonlybatman, when you removed the mounts did they look bad? When you are driving your car at 2000 rpm did you try letting of the gas and pushing in the clutch to make sure the vibration is coming from the engine and not the drivetrain? If it goes away the vibration is caused by the engine. I...

    Side exit exhaust options please.

I must be a wuss, I tried Daves set up and took it off. I am currently running Radom tech high flow cats and 2010 viper stock mufflers and turn outs, which for me is doable but still dam loud. What ever you do do not cut holes in your side seals until you run it with the side pipes first, this...

Viper Polyurethane Engine Mounts and Transmission Mount

I installed the Woodhouse engine and transmission mounts in my 2002 RT/10. The mounts are a direct bolt in, had no problems installing them. I do notice a slight vibration at idle, I have read that this goes away but after 3000 plus miles it is still there, but it is not very noticable...

    Cat Delete Or?

I have a 2002 and the cats are welded in on the front of the cat, slip fit rear or exit of the cat. Also the front is welded right at end of the curve of the 90 coming from the header not much room. If you do a search for exhaust I am sure there is a picture of the stock cats somewhere.
