I got another roller bearing because thats what O'Riley had in stock.
(Beggars can't be choosers and I wasn't in a place I could leave my car unassembled for 2 days)
I think after looking at the shape of the roller bearing I may have opted for brass.
My guess is there may have been some forcing...
Everything was like brand new except the pilot bearing. It was bone dry and all the bearings were twisted. Found a new one in stock at O'Reilly. Its back on the road and better then ever 8 hours later.
That brings up another point. Where would you buy this from? I am considering changing pilot bearing slave cylinder and throwout bearing while I am in there. Where do you trust buying parts from?
We are pulling the tranny next weekend to see if we can figure out what is going on in there. Other then the clutch alignment tool any other special tools I might want to pick up?
According to carfax my car had the clutch plate and flywheel replaced 4000 miles ago. I would assume anyone that went to that trouble would also have replaced the clutch pilot bearing and the throwout bearing. I can't get that information so I don't know.

I have a 94 rt. When engaging the clutch I sometimes get a squeal/grind sound. This immediately goes away when released. It happens most often in 1st or reverse slowly getting into the garage and at stop signs/lights when moving slowly. Anyone have a guess what this might be?
I am pretty sure this is a Vipermania Double Bubble Hardtop based on this post.

If anyone has one of these can you send me a pic of how this attaches in the back?
I am a new gen 1 owner. I know my suspension and brakes have been played with.
Can anyone tell me the stock ground clearance? My ground clearance is about 2.5 inches.
That seems super low for a stock ride but it is a Viper right?
As cool as that is the streets in San Francisco aren't really...
I am pretty sure its a Autoform double bubble seen here. Are there other manufactures that have this look?

I purchased a 94 Viper with a hard top. The quilted vinyl case that it stores in looks like it could be original.
The car dealer I bought it from (Not a Viper dealer) said it just attached to the front window.
It appears there was some way to attach this in the back there are 2 rectangular...
