Gen 2 Fuel Pump Always Running with key ON engine OFF

Hey Team need your help to understand why my 1998 Gen 2 fuel pump keeps running with the key ON but before I crank the engine. The car starts and runs ok but if my memory serves me right, the fuel pump would stop after a couple seconds, rather than keep running. I also get a stored code of...
