Did anyone see the Lingenfelter 427 Cubic Inch Twin Turbo Vette. It has an automatic tranny and it went 9.5 @ 145MPH. Pretty awesome... Food for thought, Paolo

Old news. Where have you been? See SNAKE EYES post in other section.

Not suprised that it was a Texas car though.

I'm pretty sure he could if he wanted to. His car is incredibly fast as is!

Thanks guys. I have increased RWHP by 100 or so but I'm not sure that's enought to take off 0.4 seconds. I'll be race ready by this weekend (spring break starts here you know) and hope to join Albert at RCR on Wednesday. Maybe I can get a couple of tenths by not shifting like grandma! It works for SW.

I like to hear about 9 sec vettes what I don't like is seeing guys stroking their motors and spending big money on their vette to run slower times than stock vipers, now that bothers me. I think the only thing that holds most viper racers out of the nines is desire to do it, I think most viper owners just don't care and the ones who do, they run 9's.

Got the new car & driver. Lingenfelter SC kit for the C5 puts hp up to 490 hp, is only $6,400 and it runs 0-100 in 7.7 seconds. That's for a Standard, stock displacement LS1.

Put it on a Z/06 and the hp goes to 530. Not too bad for $6,400

The 17.9 seconds to 150 mph puts it quicker than all those tuner cars in the 0-150 shootout a couple years ago except for the Lingenfelter ZR-1. And this was not even the Z/06.

Stock Gts 0-150 is 22.5 seconds
HMS Venom 600 0-150 : 18.5 seconds

I believe that a Vette hooks up better than a Viper, the 427 TT Vette is rated at 725 HP and it pulls down mid 9's,I see Viper's with over 700 at the tire that can't get out the 10's.

It’s only rated at 725 HP ;) Also C5 is lighter and more aerodynamic than Viper so it doesn’t need as much HP to run the same numbers.
Either way, I’m sure it hooked up real nice ,seeing that it’s running automatic tranny….

Very impressive indeed. And I'm sure you are right, auto cars launch much better. I would assume from that ET and MPH that the car got ~ 1.40 60 foot time. Does anyone know what the 60 foot time was?

I assume www.427tt.com is running a boost controller? 151 MPH in a car weighing ~3400 pounds with driver is roughly 913 HP at the crank. Very impressive. Would love to see what kind of #'s that 1000 HP one is running.

LPE 427TT makes 725hp for $50k. But if you don't want a warranty they'll install a boost controller. www.427tt.com has it running 9.2s @ 150mph. One for sale in the April 2002 duPont Registry page 212 that has 1000HP painted on the doors. They claim it runs 9.0 in 1/4 and a top speed of 250mph. Still not worth $225k even if they let me make a 9.0 and a 250mph runs before I bought it. It can be recreated cheaper.

30K+ for a used C5 + 50K for a SICK LPE setup = 80K

80K new viper ... ah screw it, I'll take the LPE TT 427.

I had that ride in 427TT with boost controller 705 to rear wheels. I think it can go higher. Anyway it was mind boggling. They went for a spin over 200 and buried the needle.
