i have been racing vipers for almost 5 years now. I'm still looking for sponsors...you can come crew for me and slso bring your wallet.

Gentlemen,
I don't know if this is heresy or not, but if this should ever get off the ground I would like to know. Short of cash, but some call me talented. You will need a "paint scheme" of some type. Please allow me to donate this small portion to "The Team." We will modify, customize, and paint at little or no exspense to "The Team"."

I can vouch for Ed's paint, his Double Venom is a show stopper even before you see what's under the hood. Almost a shame to let work of that quality take it's chances on the track but it sure looked good at the Texas Triathlon last season. Hope I'll get to see you at this years's event this weekend Ed...

Back in 95, a VCA member actually put together an entire racing plan that would have allowed for multiple levels of sponsorship. Levels started at $25 and went up to $250,000. In those days we only had 1,000 members, so it would have been very difficult to raise all of the funding needed to be considered a serious threat.
Like many of the other ideals that appear on this board, this one has merit. But merit will do nothing to get the job done. Somebody would need to take the point position, then go to work full time, all for no compensation. If you are in that position then you would be the logical choice to launch the program. I would be more than willing to help in some capacity, but my time has been drastically limited recently.
Be aware that you will need to raise at least 1.5 million just to be competitive in one race. And don't kid yourself if you think that a VCA member would be happy with anything less than an outright victory.
