I took my car today (2000 Gts with 4000 miles)to have some fun at Laguna Scca.
Nothing extreme, not racing, just some good time.
I noticed that after parking the car and starting it again, may be 1/2 hour later, quite a lot of blue smoke came out of the exhaust for a couple of seconds.
Obviously it's oil burning and my guess is that it is coming from the valves guide seals.
Any ideas, comments or Suggestions?
Thanks.
Luc.

Hi Luc, I was out there with you today - blue 96 GTS - Think I may have the answer -
In the valve covers there is a flat metal shield in the top of the cover - if oil is getting up on top of this shield then under braking this oil is going forward - thru the end of the Valve Cover thru the tube to the air box and can get sucked into the motor.
Pull this tube off and see if the inside is wet with oil.
If it is dry then your valve seal assumption may be correct.
See you tomorrow
Gavin

Thanks guys.
I do my own work on my cars so I know that the oil level was correct.
I pulled out the tube and it's dry.
I was with the Shelby club.
