Gen 1 Door Parts Needed

Thanks in advance for the help. I am starting a winter project to better match some Vmania windows with my 3 piece Trunktop from Jeff Lemke.

What I am trying to do is modify/fabricate the black plastic piece officially referred to as the "Outer Stanchion Cover" part #'s MS80/81 RX8 so that the window will sit flush instead of sitting on top of this piece.
