I wanted to update everybody on tonight's Holiday Party & Charity Auction at the Ritz Charles Convention Center. We now have around 100 VCA members confirmed, and even have a Viper "centerpiece" arranged (1:1 scale). Incredible food, live entertainment, cash bar, and two separate auction formats. While we are spending some $6,000 to put on this event for our members, you pay only $20.00 per person to attend.
I also wanted to personally thank ALL of our vendors and members that have donated items and that will be bringing even more items tonight. We now have over one hundred items for the silent auction alone! Our live auction promises to be one of our best ever. Here are just a few of the "big ticket" items donated thus far:
Four (4) front-row, 50 yard line inaugural season tickets for the Kansas City Brigade Arena Football - Value of over $3,500.00
New Years Las Vegas Stay: 2-Bedroom, 2-Bath Penthouse Suite for one full week (12/30-1/06) overlooking the Bellagio fountains (try getting a room on New Years Eve in Vegas on your own) - Value of $4,000.00
Appearance in a full length Hollywood motion picture being filmed in Kansas City January - March. You will be a paid extra and participate in the filming from 1-3 days (possibly longer, depending on your role). Produced by the casting director of such films as The Godfather, The Exorcist, Rain Man, Thelma & Louise, Hannibal, Donnie Brasco, Gladiator, and much more. This opportunity is PRICELESS!

And there is MUCH more from our vendors and our valued Viper Club members! Last year we managed to set a record total of $11,000 raised for our charities and the club. With a HUGE selection of silent auction items and some of the best live auction items we have ever had, we hope to blow that total out of the water this year. And don't forget, we will accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express on site.
Most importantly, these auctions directly benefit our charity of choice, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City, as well as your Kansas City Viper Club. Your generous bidding helps a wonderful charity that directly benefits area children throughout the year. It also allows your KC VCA to offer FREE Dyno Day events (three of them to be scheduled in 2006 in different parts of the region), Ladies Night, Wings Over Whiteman, meeting raffle items, our participation in A Day at the Races at the Kansas Speedway, and much, much more.
